Moto G5 Plus Not Preloaded With Google Assistant; Need To Add From Play Store
Lenovo launched Moto G5 Plus in India on last Wednesday as it had promised earlier. The smartphone saw its official debut at Mobile World Congress 2017. The handset is said to be one of the sole next-gen forerunners of Motorola's new G series. Tech fans from all around were actually eager to see how Google Assistant works with the smartphone as it launches, as Lenovo focused much of its marketing part based on Google's new hands' accessibility. But the latest insight may upset the smartphone lovers, as Lenovo recently confirmed that Google Assistant will not be pre-loaded in Moto G5 Plus.
According to Gadgets 360, Moto G5 Plus won't see Google Assistant out of the box. But the users will be receiving this feature as an external update later. The smartphone will definitely support Google's newest associate. But this feature will be released as "a Play Store update and will be rolled out by Google." , as per the latest declaration made by the company. Moto G5 Plus has been power-packed with futuristic utilities and with extraordinary specs.
As per a report by India Today, the smartphone comes with a 12-megapixel rear camera coupled with Sony sensor for capturing best moments. As for memory specification, Moto G5 Plus boasts 4 GB RAM alongside a 32 GB internal storage. The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor. Google earlier declared that all high-end Android smartphones running Android 6.0 Marshmallow or higher edition will be equipped with Google Assistant. Reports suggest that the app will replace Google traditional search app. And users will be able to utilize Google Assistant just by giving voice command just by saying "Ok, Google......."
Earlier it was said that users will not require downloading any app for this. Google Assistant will automatically show up in eligible devices. But as the new indications came in from Lenovo's end, Moto G5 Plus users may need to download Google Assistant from the Google Play Store.
