Despite being the leader of the free world, President Barack Obama is a typical dad when it comes to his two teenage daughters.

On Friday, "Live with Kelly & Michael" aired a recent interview with the president in which he revealed that his oldest daughter, 15-year-old Malia Obama, went on a date to her first prom.

"Malia did have her first prom," said Obama.

"May we ask, did she go with a boy to the prom?" Kelly Ripa excitedly asked in response.

"I think this is all classified information," said the president.

Michael Strahan chimed in, trying to picture the challenge that Malia's date would have to face, including winning over the most powerful man in the world, in order to take her to prom.

"That's rough," Obama said with a chuckle. "You know what, I'm not too intimidating, I don't think."

The doting dad also talked about his reaction to seeing his little girl wearing high-heels for the first time.

"I think it's fair to say that the first time you see your daughter in heels is a little bit jarring," he said. "She's lovely. She's beautiful."

Back in 2011, Obama joked to "Good Morning America" that any boys interested in dating his daughters would be required to go through extensive questioning.

"I might invite him over to the Oval Office, ask him for his GPA, find out what his intentions are, in terms of career," he in 2011. "I should also point out that I have men with guns that surround them often."

At another point during the interview, Strahan asked Obama whether his job or the stress of raising two teens was causing his hair to turn gray.

Obama replied saying that it was actually his genes, being that his maternal grandfather was gray by 30. He added that he doesn't plan to dye it.

"I see Michelle in the hair salon; it's just too much work. It takes my barber 20 minutes to cut my hair," he said.
