Recon Tech Special Edition: Microsoft's Tech Series For Xbox One Controllers, Start Shipping April 25, Will Cost $70
A new Microsoft controller that inspired from a military technology has been announced today, the first controller in its Wireless Controller Tech Series. The controller named the Recon Tech Special Edition is an addition to the variety of Xbox One controllers that promised comfort and increased accuracy.
According to Digital Trends, the Microsoft's Tech Series is the recent string of revised Xbox One controllers that hits the market, following on the last year's Elite Wireless Controller. The Recon Tech Special Edition has features of a laser-etched gray in the front with gold accents and insignia, while the back has rubberized diamond texture.
Since the Recon Tech Special Edition is similarly military-inspired technology, it also features performance patterns, exploring concepts comes from combat armor, and a sci-fi mechanical gear. Microsoft continues to roll out the series ahead of its scheduled Project Scorpio that will be launch in the holiday season.
In addition, The Verge reported that like the other Xbox wireless controllers, the Recon Tech Special Edition will include an improved wireless range Bluetooth Tech for Windows 10 and to Samsung VR gaming. The users can also use the custom button mapping through the Xbox Accessories Application that is available on Xbox Store or Windows Store.
The Recon Tech Special Edition is also compatible with the upcoming feature on Xbox One named Copilot, which allows the gamers to use a two Xbox wireless controllers as one. The said feature is intended for users who play with less-experienced gamers or even those who need custom key configurations to play.
However, the Xbox One owners will still get the Copilot feature through creators update if they do not want to shell out the fancy new controller. The Recon Tech Special Edition will make its way to launch on April 25, along with the Microsoft's Tech Series which will cost $70, which also offers a special color controllers.
