The Alex-Jo relationship will have one of its challenging moments as Jo Wilson's estranged husband unexpectedly appeared, with either a chance for a closure or hindrance to Jo's freedom and happiness. As the avid viewers of the drama series expect a happy-season ender, Jo's husband may kill all the fun and will continue on up to the next season, his longer-than-expected appearance.

Although Jo and Alex' love for each other cannot be questioned, this is already confirmed when Alex asked her hand in marriage. At the end of season 13, EW reports that Jo Wilson will have to reject Alex' proposal because she is still married. Divorce was not her option since she doesn't want to see him if her contact details would leak. It has been also reported that the reason for Jo to run away from him was because of his abusive nature.

It will be the answer to so many questions about her reservations and how she has to deal with an unwanted marriage. On how Jo's estranged husband will arrive on the scenes is still a mystery although Justin Chambers who plays the character of Alex have shared his ideas. Chambers presented two scenarios, one with Jo's estranged husband looking for her and has finally got hold of her contact details. While the second may be Alex' effort to find him to relieve Jo of her predicament, from whichever it is, Alex' character will fight (if not literally) for his love for Jo.

Meanwhile, another third wheel in the Jo-Alex relationship is Andrew DeLuca who will find the courage to tell his feelings for Jo Wilson. The season ender is surely something to watch out for as to what will be in store for DeLuca, Alex, Jo and her estranged husband altogether.
