Star Wars franchise is really making its official comeback to the big screen decades after the first trilogy came out. Following 2015's Star Wars Episode 7, the franchise is returning and makes everything more interesting than before. With the Rogue One's success this 2016, the Han Solo spin-off is next. Now, Bob Iger reveals some interesting details to make fans more excited in upcoming Han Solo film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bob Iger, CEO of Disney, reveals that the Han Solo film is official and will be upcoming. Han Solo is known to be one of the most significant characters in the Star Wars universe. The character went on to be cast back in Star Wars Episode 7 but apparently, that would mark his end for the continuing saga. Nonetheless, Iger's statement reveals that the character will have his own movie where it is a prequel and that the "Star Wars: Han Solo" spinoff film, will explore his life during 18 and 24 years of age. Lastly, it will also show his adventure in acquiring the Millennium Falcon.

Variety added that "Star Wars: Han Solo" spin-off will show how he got his name. The rogue thief is known to have the friendship with Chewbacca and many are wondering of his stories prior to Star Wars episodes. They are now on a treat to know more regarding this magnificent galaxy character. Moreover, Iger detailed that the production is working to expand the franchise more for future handlers. The original plan was to achieve an Episode 9 but now, they are making way to ensure that the franchise will go on even after Iger's contract expiration.

The "Star Wars: Han Solo" will star Alden Ehrenreich and is set to hit theaters on May 25, 2018. There are still no much details regarding the plot but it will surely give a good perception on Han Solo's adventures before entering the Jedis' lives.
