Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love spent his weekend in Boston, creating speculations that he is considering the Celtics as his next destination.

Love, who will become a free agent in the summer of 2015, recently announced that he will not sign an extension with the Minnesota Timberwolves, fueling talks that the Wolves will consider moving him instead of losing him without getting anything in return.

According to the Boston Globe's Baxter Holmes, several teams have already sent trade feelers to the Timberwolves for Love, including the Celtics, who are reportedly planning to package several picks to acquire the All-Star power forward.

The Celtics have 17 picks in the next five years, and 10 of it are first round picks, including the sixth overall pick in the highly anticipated 2014 NBA Draft.

However, all teams are expected to make sure that Love is interested in signing a long-term deal with them before striking a deal. So is Love interested in spending the next several seasons in Boston?

Bill Fairweather, a former ESPN producer, said that he had a chance to talk to Love when the 25-year-old forward visited his bar during the weekend.

And based on his conversation with the former UCLA standout, Fairweather is convinced that Love's interest in moving to Boston is legit.

Fairweather said that Love was so interested in learning more about the history of the team, which prompted him to give Love a 90-minute DVD about the Celtics' colorful past.

Fairweather also revealed that Love is planning to talk to his fellow Bruin and former NBA star Bill Walton about his experience playing in Boston, while also expressing admiration for Celtics legend Larry Bird.

"Love showed such reverence for Bird, Fairweather said, that at one point Love pointed out how he believes that Bird's No. 33 ought to be retired by every team in the NBA. Love also said he planned on talking to fellow UCLA alumnus Bill Walton about what it was like playing for the Celtics," Holmes wrote.

Reports also indicated that Love met with Rajon Rondo during the weekend, but the Celtics star point guard denied reports suggesting that he made a pitch to convince Love to move to Boston this summer.
