Rent a Rolls-Royce

If you're going to see the sights of L.A., then you might as well do it in style, and what's more stylish and sophisticated than a Rolls-Royce? Maybe a superyacht or a private jet, but good luck getting those on the road. No, a Rolls-Royce is the way to get around while sitting in the lap of luxury. When you rent a Rolls-Royce, you get to experience what a century of automotive refinement has created.

Namely, a ride so smooth that you will feel like you are driving among the clouds; technology so sophisticated that it feels like it can read your mind; wood and leather cabin materials of such high quality that they are capable of embarrassing most penthouse suites. Driving around in a Rolls-Royce will make you feel like a Hollywood A-Lister even if you don't have their budget. So rent yourself a Rolls-Royce if you want to make your journey every bit as enjoyable as your destination.

Visit The Huntington Library

Despite the name, the Huntington Library is more than just a place to check out some books; it is also a museum and art gallery, and it contains 120 acres of lush botanical gardens. Those gardens include desert gardens, Chinese gardens, Japanese gardens, jungle gardens, and more. You can also get a closer look at a wide variety of exotic plant life, like orchids, bonsai trees, camellia, and even some creepy carnivorous plants.

If your tastes tend toward the artistic, then there are a wide variety of paintings, prints, photographs, and sculptures from European and American masters for you to peruse. The Library features famous works like Blue Boy by Thomas Gainsborough and Madonna and Child by Rogier van der Weyden. There are also works by American legends like Edward Hopper and Andy Warhol.

Of course, the Huntington is still a library and it contains a wide variety of rare books and manuscripts that includes letters from historical figures like Abraham Lincoln, Ben Franklin, and George Washington. You can also find early drafts, first editions, and manuscripts of works from storied authors and poets such as Mark Twain, William Blake, and Henry David Thoreau. So, if you want some culture and substance to go along with the glitz and glamor of Los Angeles, then take a trip to the Huntington Library.

Take a Trip To Grauman's Chinese Theatre

Technically, it is now officially known as the TCL Theatre, but most people still know it by its classic name. The outside of this famous theatre is designed to resemble an ancient Chinese pagoda and it is most famous for the handprints of hundreds of different movie stars permanently set in cement. It is also infamous for the various knock-off mascots and costumed characters who hang around the theatre waiting for a photo opportunity. It's a pretty touristy location, but it is also one of the remnants of classic Golden Age Hollywood so it is worth a visit for any movie fan. Plus the actual theatre is pretty good too.

Visit Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood started out as a typical studio tour in 1964 but it eventually evolved into a full-fledged theme park, one centered around Universal Studios properties of course. So now you can encounter rides based on Transformers, Jurassic World, and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The studio tour is still going on and it takes you on a nearly hour-long ride through sets from movies like Psycho, War of the Worlds, The Sting, and more. Universal Studios Hollywood is a great place to visit because of its combination of theme park thrills and movie history.

Take a Drive On Some Legendary Roads

L.A. is very much a city of cars, and as such, it has a lot of legendary roads to take your slick rental car for a drive. Sunset Boulevard, Mulholland Drive, and the Pacific Coast Highway are all roads that have some of the best sights you will see in Los Angeles. You might also recognize those first two because they have had movies named after them, that is how popular they are. For some extra fun, rent a convertible like the Rolls-Royce Dawn so that you can experience the sights with the sun on your face and the wind in your hair.

Take a Trip To L.A. And Have a Blast

This is just a small sampling of the various attractions Los Angeles has to offer; there are far more than can be listed here and more that you can fit into one trip. That's not a bad thing since it means that when you come back there will be a whole new set of things to do that you have never tried before. There will also be a new set of wheels for you to rent as well so that you can enjoy L.A. in a brand new way. But before you take the next trip, you have to take the first trip, so get to L.A., rent a car, and have some fun.
