The face of the franchise, Golden State Warriors (GSW), Stephen Curry suffered a broken left hand injury during their basketball game against Phoenix Suns. It led the GSW to a home defeat in a score 121-110.

This is a tough start for the Golden State Warriors as the season starts. In a report published on CNN, the Phoenix Suns' 7-foot center Aron Baynes landed on top of him as Stephen Curry fell awkwardly on his left hand.

Curry left the game with a remaining time of 8:31 in the third quarter and went immediately to the locker room. The 31-year-old NBA Star underwent into an x-ray test which showed his broken left arm. Because of the incident, as of now, there is still no confirmation as to when Stephen Curry will play again this season. And Curry's injury led the team into a 1-3 record as the season starts.

Phoenix Suns Coach Monty Williams expressed his sadness during the post-game news conference that he felt so bad for Curry because players like him who are the faces of the league and who got injured is not good for the league. Coach Monty added, most especially that Curry raise the level of excitement in the Bay Area.

It can be remembered that this is the second successive season that Stephen Curry got an injury. In the previous NBA season, the basketball star suffered from a groin injury which ultimately led him to miss 11 games.

Reuters reports that Stephen Curry was twice named as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and led the Golden State Warriors into a five straight NBA Finals. However, the Warriors is struggling this season as the 2014 MVP Kevin Durant moved to Brooklyn Nets and five-time NBA All Star Klay Thompson is out indefinitely as he suffered from a torn knee ligament. Golden State Warriors is the 2015, 2017, and 2018 champions.

And now that another star from Golden State Warriors is out due to an injury, Coach Steve Kerr told the reporters that this is a tough start for the team in many levels. In spite of this, the coach is still hopeful that they could find their tough spot.

In addition to that, Steve Kerr also told the reporters that they will meet as a team to discuss matters pertaining to the team's improvement scheme in the season without Stephen Curry due to his broken left arm, Klay Thompson due to his groin injury, and Kevin Durant who moved to Brooklyn Nets. In the meeting, they will assess the strengths and weaknesses of the team.

It can be remembered that Stephen Curry is the ninth over-all pick during the 2009 NBA draft and has played only in the Golden State Warriors in his entire career. On the other hand, in a report by Yahoo sports, the GSW owner Joe Lacob said that he still believes in the disposal of his players like D'Angelo Russell, Jordan Poole and Eric Paschall and believes that Kevon Looney can make a big impact once he returns. Meanwhile, Draymond Green is still playing but is suffering from multiple minor injuries.

Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob did not give a timetable as to when the team can recover after the injuries of its star players but he admitted that it will definitely take some time before the team can bounce back.
