Illegal Immigrants Crossing US-Mexican Border Reaches All Time High
The arrest of Mexicans guilty of illegal immigration for crossing the United States of America border had increased to 88 % in the fiscal year of 2019. It was labeled by some of the government officials of the United States as a crisis. These government officials had offered an up-to-date mechanism to lessen, control, or eliminate this highly alarming situation. This mechanism aims to speed-up the process of deporting arrested illegal immigrants.
The total number of immigrants planning to cross the US border had decreased for the month of September which is 64% less than the total in May where it reached its peak. There are lesser numbers of arrested illegal immigrants during the month of the summer season.
Despite having the lowest total number of arrested illegal immigrants for the current year, it had risen by 4% compared to last year's record in the month of September. This record is the highest in eleven years.
According to a statement released by the US Customs and Border Protection's Deputy Commissioner Robert Perez, almost half of those captured in September were minors under the age of 18 and adult families. These apprehended people were being led by human-trafficking groups.
Robert Perez released a statement to an outdoor news conference in front of CBP staff at the barrier of the border in El Paso. "They are profiting on the backs of this vulnerable population, and that's why it's still a crisis," the Deputy Commissioner said.
According to Mark Morgan, the acting Commissioner, there is a threat to the security of the United States of America because of the increasing trend of daily illegal immigrants crossing the borders of the United States. The people who are detained daily had averaged to 1,400.
Under the leadership of President Donald Trump, immigration policies had become the main focus. He is strictly implementing policies to limit and control the activities involved with immigration in the United States of America.
Despite President Donald Trump and his administration's stricter approach to immigration in the United States, his improved relationship built with Mexico had resulted in a drop of the total asylum seekers apprehended for illegal immigrants. This had acquired him an immense amount of praise from his supporters.
Regardless of the positive outcome of his developed relationship with the country of Mexico, some experts still express to the public their negative opinion on Trump's fight against illegal immigrants and undocumented asylum seekers. Some of these experts had conveyed their disapproval and pity on the people occupying the overcrowded jail centers and children-parent separations because of the illegal immigration policies under President Trump's administration.
The immigration policy under Trump's leadership had to target illegal immigrants from the countries with a high-level of the less-privileged and violent population such as Guatemala and El Salvador.
Currently, the United States of America is planning to implement a method that speeds up the processing of claims presented by asylum seekers which in the present take up to lots of months or years to accomplish. This is for the proper execution of the due-process rule.
