The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump had released a statement during a meeting with the representatives of businesses belonging in the vaping industry. As Trump meets with the vaping industry he had announced that the laws governing the trade of electronic-cigarettes will be stricter due to the significant number of vaping-products-related injuries and deaths in the country.

As Trump, the meeting plans to acquire a resolution to the health problems and other issues involved with the use of electronic cigarettes. 

"Children's health & safety, together with jobs, will be a focus!" said President Donald Trump during a tweet he made on Monday.

Advocates to the control of the nationwide use of the electronic cigarette are worried that the meeting set by the president was a signal that he will back out from his promise to ban flavored electronic cigarettes.

"Will be meeting with representatives of the Vaping industry, together with medical professionals and individual state representatives, to come up with an acceptable solution to the Vaping and E-cigarette dilemma. Children's health & safety, together with jobs, will be a focus!" said President Donald Trump in a tweet.

As Trump meets the vaping industry on Friday, he did not specify the details of the meeting. He mentioned that there will be an important meeting regarding vaping this week. 

The CDC had issued a statement to the public saying that there were 2,051confirmed and potential lung sickness or injury cases in the United States and there were thirty-nine deaths traced to the use of electronic cigarettes or vapes. 

Eighty-five percent of the patients in the country with lung injuries are reported to have used products with THC. THC is a compound found in marijuana and it is one of the components that get individuals high.

The public health authorities of the United States of America suggest that people should avoid the use of electronic cigarettes that may contain the compound THC or other products that originate from unlawful sources.

According to an announcement made by the administration of President Donald Trump in September this year, the Food and Drug Administration was under the process of creating a "guidance document" that would result in a ban of all electronic cigarette flavors products, excluding the tobacco flavoring.

According to Secretary Alex Azar of the Health and Human Services, upon the completion and finalization of the document, the e-cigarette flavors will be removed from the shelves of stores nationwide.

Trump's remarks also included a statement saying that the flavor restriction for e-cigarettes is still in the works. He also said that he will increase the age-limit for persons who will be allowed to purchase any electronic cigarette products.

"We are continuing to refrain from lobbying the administration on its draft flavor guidance while we take significant actions to combat underage use and convert adult smokers," the spokesperson of Juul Labs, Inc. Juul Labs, Inc. is a large provider of electronic cigarettes in the United States market.
