Wednesday will be the starting day that American citizens will have the chance to see live what is going on behind the doors of the Capitol. One issue will be whether the House Intelligence Committee's public hearings will be able to change the opinion of the public regarding impeachment.

At present, the running average polls result in 49% in support of Trump's impeachment. Those who are against Trump's impeachment of the current president are 46% of the average results of the poll.

The results of the polls were almost the same with the results of the 2016 elections where Trump had received 46 % of the national popular vote while Hilary Clinton's was 48%.

According to the polls of NBC News and Wall Street Journal, 90% of the Democrats support the campaign for the impeachment of President Donald Trump while only six percent of the Republicans support this campaign.

This means that the opinion of the public carries a resemblance to the political divide that defines the era of Trump's leadership in the United States of America.

This may be an indication that there is a big possibility of President Donald Trump to be impeached by the House and be Acquitted by the senate body of the country.

The Democrats hope that the contents of the hearings will be shown on nationwide TV and the effects will cause the watching public to create opinions on the affirmative side of President Donald Trump's impeachment.

Democrats are encouraged to use such tactics that were inspired by previous impeachment hearings where public hearing had played an important and decisive role.

The Watergate saga included two public hearings. Each of the public hearings created a support mechanism for the impeachment of President Richard Nixon.

The first of this was the Senate Watergate hearings which were conducted in the summer and fall in the year 1973. The Watergate break-in and its relationship with former President Nixon's re-election campaign of the previous year were investigated.

The dramatic presentation of testimonies and exchanges of words during the hearings had improved public awareness of the Watergate issue. This method had convinced the majority of the American citizens that the former president had either intelligence before the break-in or he had tried to cover up the facts involved with the incident.

The media platforms present today are way different from the past few decades of this life. The present-day media covers a larger scope compared to the past because of the endless possibilities that the internet can now provide.

In the past, cable TV was not that famous. Most of the American citizens prefer to acquire news from broadcast networks, newspapers, and the radio. The exposure of the Americans in the past was limited and the major media outlets were giving out similar news.

Public opinion changes with each new development in technology which can be greatly observed from Trump's impeachment hearings.

On Trump's 1st impeachment hearing, people from the affirmative side and those who are on the negative side gave statements to strongly justify their opinions. The supporters of the current president of the US see the impeachment campaign as a consequence of his success in the 2016 election.
