Approximately 80,000 of the immigrants who are approved beneficiaries of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), have criminal records which include criminal actions involving sexual offenses and violence.

The DACA policy was created during the reign of former President Barack Obama to protect children who illegally arrived and stayed in the United States of America with their parents when they were a minor. This policy aims to protect these people from deportation.

According to the report released by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), those immigrants were arrested or apprehended by US authorities for criminal acts or any immigrant-related illicit civil act. However, the USCIS specifies that the report disregarded these people's conviction, dismissal, acquittal, or the reduction of their penalties.

According to the report of the USCIS, from the estimated 889,000 approved immigrants for DACA policy, 110,000 had records of arrest. Out of the approximately 765,000 approved applicants for the protection of the DACA policy, 79,398 had records of arrest.

Out of the 79,398, 67,861had arrest records before the approval for protection of immigrants for DACA program and 15,903 had been arrested for illicit acts after their approval of the DACA policy.

The illegal acts of these immigrants for DACA policy were involved with illicit acts like assault which was conducted by 3,308 of the approved beneficiaries, battery which totaled 3,421, burglary, breaking and entering by 1,471 individuals, murder by 15 people, rape by 62 immigrants, and theft by 7,926 people. The largest number of arrests were from immigrants committing illegal driving acts excluding DUIs which amounted to 23,305 people and the immigration-related illicit acts with 12,968 offenders.

The oral arguments regarding this program under the Obama regime were heard in the Supreme Court last week.

"As DACA continues to be the subject of both public discourse and ongoing litigation, USCIS remains committed to ensuring transparency and that the American people are informed about those receiving DACA. This agency is obligated to continue accepting DACA requests from illegal aliens as a direct result of the previous administration's decision to circumvent the laws as passed by Congress.

"We hope this data provides a better sense of the reality of those granted the privilege of a temporary deferral of removal action and work authorization under DACA," said acting Director Ken Cuccinelli of USCIS.

During the year 2017, President Donald Trump had announced his plan to rescind the DACA program but federal courts had stated it cannot be applied retroactively and that the policy can only be started again in full. The administration of Trump firmly disagreed with the decision by stating that the president of the country has the authority on the immigration enforcement policy.

"Many of the people in DACA, no longer very young, are far from 'angels. Some are very tough, hardened criminals. President Obama said he had no legal right to sign (the) order, but would anyway. If Supreme Court remedies with overturn, a deal will be made with Dems for them to stay!" said President Donald Trump in his Twitter account.
