There had been numerous reported issues involving the subject of "Mexico Allows Child Gender Change." The name and gender change are for changing the legal documents of children.

From a news article posted in 2017 by global press journal relating to the topic of "Mexico Allows Child Gender Change", authorities in the capital of Mexico had reached an agreement to implement a cheaper and easier process for those citizens who are applying for a legal gender change in their governing documents. The agreement, however, does include those who are aged 17 and below. These minors are still required to undergo a court trial.

The article also said that there are a large number of citizens requesting the lawmakers of the country of Mexico to include in the planned changes in the new constitution their request. They are requesting that the lawmakers can change the process of legal gender change to minors from court to administrative means.

The article had told the story of a boy who was under a court trial which is necessary for minors to acquire legal gender change. It was a trial that lasted for nine hours. All of that for the request of a legal name and gender change on his certification of birth.

Her mother told the court of a story that proves her daughter is a boy.

The child's mother thought that her daughter was lesbian but after consulting with 3 sexologists, all of them said that her daughter is transgender.

After learning of her daughter's situation, she immediately researched what a transgender is and it led her to a not-for-profit organization called Transfamillias. The organization assists transgenders and it was the organization that helped her and her child enter into a court proceeding for her daughter's legal name and gender change.

The law that was being the basis of the legal name and gender change in the certification of the birth of its citizens was the 2008 reform on Mexico City's Civil Code.

At the end of the trial, the child was allowed by the court to illicitly change her name and gender on his certification of birth.

As of now, hundreds of protesters are expressing their disagreements with the new law being proposed by the leaders of Mexico City. This new law will permit minors to change the inputted gender on their birth certificates.

The proposed law will be requiring these minors to be accompanied by a guardian to legally accomplish the process.

The association of anti-abortion and other organizations rallied in front of the building of the city council on Tuesday. The group was holding signs with messages saying "No to the Trans Law" and "Don't Confuse Children".

This group of people was stressing the idea that at that age, minors cannot make those decisions yet.

The city council had already signed their approval for the legal changes on November 14 of this year through voting. The results of the voting were in favor of the Morena Party of Mexico's President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. The Morena Party possesses a majority in the city.

People cannot yet say that "Mexico Allows Child Gender Change" because it is still subject to the approval of the entire council.
