Number of Latino Trump Supporters Is Surprisingly Growing, According to Poll
President Donald Trump is gaining a significant number of Latino supporters for the 2020 elections in the United States of America.
The Democratic Party had taken for granted the possible power of the votes of the Latin community. The Latin community is transforming into a significant player in the 2020 elections especially in states such as Pennsylvania and Florida.
Despite the common understanding that there will be no Latino Trump supporters in the upcoming elections, there are still some signs that he is getting support from them.
During the 2016 elections in the United States of America, Donald Trump had acquired 28 percent of the votes of the Latino community in the country. This is a bit more compared to Mitt Romney's in 2012 which is 27 percent.
Upon sitting in the highest position in the government of the country, Donald Trump has made US immigration a more noticeable and loud issue not only in the country, but from all over the globe. Regardless of this, there is a significant number of Latino Trump supporters for the elections next year.
It is expected that President Donald Trump will probably acquire 25 percent to 30 percent of the votes of the total Latino voting population in the United States.
According to a recent survey conducted by Telemundo, one out of four Latin-Americans said that they will vote for Donald Trump in the 2020 elections.
The votes of the voting population of Latinos have a significant effect on the elections because they are the young population. This group is increasing the voting population in the country at a consistently growing rate. They are abundant in states such as Florida, Colorado, and Nevada. And 2/3 of the total Latino population in the country is of Mexican origin.
According to the Pew Research Center's report, Hispanics are being dubbed as the biggest minority group in the country which will be participating in the 2020 elections. Thirty-two million Latinos in the US are expected to take part in the upcoming elections and thirty million voters who are African-American will also participate.
They are monolithic. Latinos don't vote as a bloc but presidential hopefuls should consider their big effect on the results of the elections.
For the powerful economy of the country, the lowered unemployment ratios of Hispanics, and more, Latino Trump supporters are not minding his issue regarding Latino immigration in the US. They believe that the current president's issues with immigrants are not geared towards them. President Trump has garnered a lot of criticism due to his blunt response to America's illegal immigrant problem at the southern-most border of the U.S..
An example of this was his statement directed towards a candidate in the upcoming election about the Mexican government not giving their best people labeled as "Mexican immigrants" to the US, but instead allowing their criminals to cross the border to seek asylum in the United States so that they can get rid of those horrible people from their country.
