Just a few months after finally going public with their relationship, Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes have taken things to the next level. Now, the celebrity couple has resorted to public display of affection, much to the shock of their fans.

According to a report from TMZ, the celebrity couple took a break from their stressful week amidst the holidays and stayed in the restaurant for about two hours. Camila and Shawn were spotted drinking red wine and eating green salad.

It's evident from the circulating footage that both stars couldn't keep their hands to themselves, prompting TMZ to claim they were "dining on tongue sandwich."

On the other hand, this is not the first time that Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes have expressed strong feelings for one another. Way back in September, the 21-year-old "Stitches" singer posted a steamy video of him and Camila kissing passionately in front of the camera, which blew up on Instagram.

Back then, the video stirred a lot of fans, with some people claiming it was only a publicity stunt for the two singers' collab of the year "Senorita." However, in an interview with Elle magazine, Camila Cabello finally quashed the publicity rumors by confirming that they have been dating since summer this year.

Apparently, getting intimate with one another is just a normal part of their routine as a couple. In an interview with SiriusXM's Hits 1 in Hollywood, the 22-year-old "Havana" star revealed that they also enjoy binge-watching shows together, that is until Shawn had to leave for his "Shawn Mendes: The Tour."

"Making out is a lot of it..no, I'm kidding..no, I'm not. When we are able to hang out ... it goes by so fast. We are going to binge-watch 'Friends.' We started the first episode, then he had to go on tour."

As you may well remember, in a previous report, Camila was also put on the hot seat last week following her allegedly 'racist remarks' on Tumblr. People dug up Cabello's former Tumblr account dating back to 2012, in which the "Senorita" singer allegedly used the n-word.

Owning up to her mistake, Camila then released a heartfelt statement on social media, admitting that she was 'uneducated and ignorant,' without specifically addressing the words she was apologizing for:

"When I was younger, I used language that I'm deeply ashamed of and will regret forever. I was uneducated and ignorant and once I became aware of the history and the weight and true meaning behind this horrible and hurtful language, I was deeply embarrassed I ever used it."

Amidst all of these controversies, things seem to be looking up for Camila, or for her love life at least. Fans can't wait to see what's in store of Camila and Shawn's relationship.
