Last year, Chile had already been sharing its insights and plans on how to positively contribute to the worsening climate change in the world.

In an article published at the beginning of June last year, Chile had promised to become a carbon-neutral nation by the year 2050. The ambition of Chile will become a challenging task being a highly-coal dependent nation.

An article released to the public in September of the previous year had revealed that Chile was one of the sixty-six countries who promised to commit to transforming into a carbon-neutral nation.

Many factors contribute to climate change. One of the primary factors that contribute to the worsening of climate change in the work is the usage of non-renewable sources of energy such as carbon.

Some huge countries like the United States of America and Australia are not that alarmed of the dangers that climate change is currently bringing in the world. Smaller countries like Chile and Finland are exerting significant efforts to become carbon-neutral nations in the future. These nations believe the urgency of the need to make an act to fight climate change in the world.

Chile is now starting to formulate ways using the latest technologies to gradually stop the need to use coal for power generation. As a coal-dependent nation, Chile is being ambitious to shift to a new environment-friendly power source in the next thirty years.

Becoming a carbon-neutral nation include tons of efforts and funding. Large-scale reconstruction of power infrastructures includes the purchase of new equipment that requires a large amount of funding. Despite some of the difficulties with shifting the Chilean nation to a carbon-neutral country, the government promises to prioritize such a project.

According to an article by the Ministry of Energy's Prospective and Regulatory Impact Analysis head Carlos Barria, the government of Chile that climate change is real. Barria believes that the public and private sectors in the country need to cooperate to lessen their contribution to climate change. The government of Chile believes that the main people who are affected by climate change are those that are vulnerable.

According to the column, the government of Chile aims to execute changes in five different areas in the country namely the sustainable energy source and mining sector, housing and public commercial building sector, the removal of coal mining plants and the entry of renewable sources of power, shift from the use of fertilizers with nitrogen, and the collection of methane from aging animals.

These areas of change will need a significant amount of investment. Chile is already starting the construction of solar energy farm areas and other massive facilities in the desert regions of the country.

This announcement by the Chilean government was triggered as an area as big as Ireland in the country of Australia is experiencing massive wildfires that are endangering the lives of many of its wildlife and people.

The elevated heat believed by many to have been caused by climate change and the strong winds in the area.
