The release of the highly-anticipated game Halo 5: Guardians has finally been announced by Beyond Entertainment, saying that Halo will be available in fall of 2015 as well as its exclusive partnership with Microsoft's Xbox One.

Special access will be given to game and software developers, who will be allowed to have sneak peeks and demos during E3, or the Electronic Entertainment Expo that will be held from June 10 to 12. Furthermore, a brighter future is expected for the franchise, as Halo will be jumping to another platform with Xbox Originals. This new project by Microsoft will feature Halo and other titles having their own television series. For Halo, the television series will be produced by none other than Steven Spielberg.

Bonnie Ross of 343 Industries gave more details about Halo 5 and Xbox One in an interview with The Guardian. She spoke about how the iconic protagonist, Master Chief, was left in a difficult situation that caused him to ultimately question his purpose. Halo 4 players will remember how the ending left them with mind-boggling questions that have yet to be answered. Master Chief lost his best friend, questioned his past, and sought a purpose for his future. The things what he once believed were true left him in doubt. 343 Industries is the game development company that was commissioned by Microsoft to oversee the production of the franchise. The upcoming installment, according to Ross, will deal with Master Chief's past and future life.

Halo isn't merely a game franchise, as Ross explains, but it is "part of the Xbox platform itself." This is where the company took off in creating the game, by looking at how well they can integrate the gaming story and experience with the superb machine that is Xbox One.

Halo 5: Guardians is expected to be released by fall of 2015, selling at $75.
