Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were married in February 2015. However, 15 months after their marriage, Amber filed a divorce citing irreconcilable differences and accusing Depp of physical assault-which he denied. Depp filed a $50 million defamation suit against Heard, and said she is not the victim of domestic violence, but rather, the perpetrator.

Sputnik News reports that fans and netizens are asking "Justice for Johnny Depp" after Hollywood actress Amber Heard admitted in a leaked audio that she physically abused her ex-husband. The leaked audio was obtained by the Daily Mail and was said to be the couple's informal therapy session in which the couple was trying to "sort out" and fix their relationship.

The leaked audio contains the conversation of the couple. Depp said to his wife, "You punched me," but Heard replied, "I'm sorry that I didn't, uh, hit you across the face in a proper slap, but I was hitting you, it was not punching you. Babe, you were not punched".

Heard is a known human rights activist and an outspoken advocate for human rights who admits that after their conversation "she did start a physical fight."

Meanwhile, Depp said that every time their arguments intensified that it lead to insults and physical altercations he claimed that the two of them would go to their "corners" and take some time apart because he was afraid that their fight would lead to a divorce or worse, they would kill each other.

With this, Heard replied: "I can't promise that it will all be perfect. I can't promise you I won't get physical again. God, I f**king sometimes I get so mad I lose it. I can f**king promise you I will do everything to change. I promise you."

After the leaked audio was published, a #JusticeForJohnnyDepp began to trend on twitter and netizens were saying that Heard, who routinely spoke about equality, should be jailed.

In the defamation suit filed by Johnny Depp, he said that the actress put out a cigarette on his face and threw a bottle at him that broke and nearly severed his finger.

Meanwhile, netizens also spoke out about the hypocrisy of the media saying that when they heard that Johnny Depp physically abused Amber Heard they chastised the actor, but now that it was found that it was Heard who physically abused the actor they are not paying attention to it.

Meanwhile, other netizens were also happy after they heard the news of the leaked audio as it will eventually clear the name of Johnny Depp and they expressed their support of the Hollywood star.

Other netizens, however, joked about how Depp escaped from the issue in the same fashion as his iconic character, Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Carribbean trilogy.

Adam Waldman, Depp's attorney, said that the audio that contains the confession of Heard will help clear the name of Depp and will end the physical abuse.

However, a spokesman for Heard has accused Johnny Depp of leaking the audio and is trying to victim-blame the actress. He said: "Anyone familiar with the dynamics of domestic abuse would immediately recognize what is going on here. For Mr. Depp, who lived and lives in an echo chamber of his own making, to try to twist this private conversation to suggest either that he didn't abuse Ms. Heard or that she somehow deserved it is nothing more than the latest misogynistic effort at victim-blaming".

Heard filed for divorce in May of 2016 accusing Depp of domestic violence. However, the couple reached a $7 million settlement in August of the same year and said that their relationship is bound with love and there is no intent of physical or emotional harm.

However, despite the couple's settlement, Heard told news outlets that she was in fact a victim of domestic violence, in which Depp later filed his $50 million defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife.
