Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Still Business Partners Despite Bitter Divorce
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's separation does not stop them from continuing a healthy business partnership.
The two are reported to have started a new champagne business. The partnership aims to extend their Miraval rose wine label in Provence.
Their wine business had started in 2011 when they purchased the Miraval winery located in France. The winery was owned by an American entrepreneur named Tom Bove. It was purchased for $31 million.
Even after their divorce's announcement in 2016, they continued the business.
In June 2019, their business made history after selling a magnum rose wine at a charity auction for approximately $3,000.
Their Business Partnership Plans
The two are partnering again to create a specialty rose champagne product. They will be coordinating with Perrin, a wine-making family from France and with a champagne producer in Marne.
According to Rodolfe Peters, a manager of a Champagne house, it will be the sole house in Champagne that will only produce rose. He said that the operations will start with 10,000 bottles and will continue to increase until it reaches 25,000 in the future. The goal of the business partnership was to create a benchmark rose champagne.
It was reported that the divorced business partners plan to use the expertise of their target partners for their new business venture.
According to the representative of the Varois Miraval, Guillaume Jourdan, the business partnership is a family project of the divorced couple, their children, and the families Perrin and Peters.
According to Jourdan, they have been working on the business partnership for more or less three years. As of the moment, they are taking their time to finalize their product's launch date and packaging.
The winery of Pitt and Jolie is measured at 500 hectares with 50 hectares of vines. This winery was purchased in 2008. On the other hand, the Perrin family owns half of the Miraval Provence Company. They are in charge of the business' marketing and production.
It was the Perrin Family who took care of the Miraval Estate while the two celebrity couple were legally conflicted with marriage issues, said an article from Latin Times.
Truth Revealed: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's Divorce
Angelina Jolie took legal action to end her marriage with Brad Pitt by filing for divorce in 2016. The primary reason for the delay of their separation was their dilemma of splitting their combined fortunes.
According to an article from the Elle website, the net worth of Angelina Jolie is estimated at $100 million while the net worth of Brad Pitt is estimated at $300 million.
Last year, it was reported that the two employed the help of a private judge to resolve their concerns about splitting their properties.
Also, the two had undergone talks about the custody of their six children.
In April 2019, the two were granted single status after a bifurcated judgment. This way, the two can process their issues with their properties and children's custody without having the married status. Their single status allows them to move forward as separate individuals.
