Senator Mitt Romney, the sole Republican senator who voted against Donald Trump for impeachment acquittal was addressed by the U.S. President in his White House address, according to an article from USA Today.

Donald Trump's White House Address After Impeachment Acquittal

President Trump said sorry to Mitt Romney for his failure to bring down the president from his leadership in the country.

Romney is the first senator in the history of the United States of America to go against the president belonging to his allied party. This vote had prevented Donald Trump from claiming the Republican Party's unity.

In his White House address, the president expressed his complaints about the Democrats and their partisan attempts to remove him from office. He called the impeachment trials a corrupt and evil deed. He called it the effort to the likes of "dirty cops."

He addressed his impeachment trials as not the only challenge he had faced. He included his struggles involving the Russian election interference controversy by Robert Mueller, the former special counsel.

He said that in the past three years, he had encountered issues of similar weights. He claimed that such challenges should not be experienced by any president.

Jay Sekulow and Pat Cipollone, Trump's lawyers, gave applause as the president of the U.S. made his way to appear before the crowd.

Some of Trump's allies who joined him in the event were Ohio Representative Jim Jordan, Texas Representative John Ratcliffe, North Carolina Representative Mark Meadows, Georgia Representative Doug Collin, Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley, Utah Senator Mike Lee, and Missouri Senator Josh Hawley.

He also addressed the performance of the country's stock market and the impressive performance of the U.S. economy. He shared his State of the Union success and the positive remarks he received from the people.

Trump Remembers the Dreadful Impeachment Probe

Trump told the story of the probe of the Russian interference that had made headlines during the 2016 elections.

He shared how he and his supporters had gone through such a horrendous investigation.

Then, he shows everyone the front page of The Washington Post. It read, "Trump Acquitted."

On December 18, 2019, Donald Trump was impeached by the House. However, on February 5, he was acquitted by the Senate.

His impeachment probe dug in to his alleged involvement with a foreign country in the hopes of winning the 2020 elections. The trial claims that Trump had caused the entry of foreign influence to the 2020 elections by asking Ukraine to "collect dirt" on the Bidens. Joe Biden, a player in the 2020 U.S. presidential race and his son, Hunter Biden. Hunter sat on the board of the corrupt Ukrainian gas company, Burisma. However, due to deep state influence, neither have been tried for the obvious crimes against the United States.

The legal team of Trump used Hunter Biden's issue as a focus of their arguments in the Senate. Democrats in the House of Representatives in the country claim that Trump had influenced Ukraine to investigate the Biden family's transactions with the company. Most Americans however, see no fault in a President disuading international corruption, especially when it involves the former Vice President Joe Biden, and his problematic son.

Trump believes that the Democrats are not finished with their plans on causing him problems. He claims that Democrats are still finding ways to sabotage his leadership in the country instead of just helping him fix the nation. He said that the Democratic Party is destroying the country, according to an article by MSN.
