According to Newsom, law enforcers will not be arresting violators. He believes that residents of the state will not need law enforcement to tell them that it is right to stay and home and keep them protected from the deadly novel coronavirus. He said that the order he released is open-ended and that it is a dynamic situation.

The decision to issue the order for a state-wide lockdown was the escalating total COVID-19 cases in the US.

President Donald Trump stated that he had been requesting the United States Food and Drug Administration to break barriers to getting therapeutics to patients with COVID-19.
Drugs Used in the US to Treat COVID-19

Trial Period for the Two Drugs
According to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases' director Doctor Anthony Fauci, the two drugs will soon be available in the country. However, he said that there should be a way to prove that the drugs are safe for use. Also, it should be proven that the two drugs work against the COVID-19, he added.
The two drugs are currently undergoing a process to make it available for COVID-19 patients in the context of a sort of protocol.
No Definite Cure for the Deadly Novel Coronavirus Illness
The doctor wanted to make sure that US citizens are knowledgeable that as of the moment, there are still no proved safe and effective treatments against the deadly novel coronavirus disease. However, according to Fauci, despite the inexistence of a cure, it doesn't mean that the government will not do everything in its power to make a treatment available for the sick citizens of the United States.
