Where is Mexico located?
Mexico is part of the North American continent. It has a border with the United States of America, Guatemala, and Belize. The US-Mexican border is the largest in the world. It measures approximately 3,155km/2,000 miles long.
Mexico is part of the Ring of Fire
Mexico is part of the Ring of Fire. The Ring of Fire is the most prominent earthquake and volcano region in the world. The Volcanos found in Baja California in Mexico are majorly dormant. The Baja California is the peninsula to the mainland Mexico's western area. In the area, at least 120 species of cactus are situated.
'Pico de Orizaba' or 'Volcan Citlaltepetl' is the highest peak in the country and the third-largest in North America. This Mexican volcano is 5,636m/18,491ft in height.
The Mexican Flag
The Mexican flag shows three bands in white, red, and green. The emblem on the white background showcased with an eagle standing on a cactus. The eagle can be seen as having a snake on its beak.
The colors of the flag of Mexico have meanings. The colors represent unity, religion, and independence.
According to legend, the Aztecs settled in the country. They built Tenochtitlan, the Aztec's capital city. Today, this city is called Mexico City. This was the place where the eagle with a snake on its beak was seen while sitting on a cactus.
