Some Latin American Nations Jumpstarts Their Economies Despite Inclining COVID-19 Cases
A few days ago, the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic had shifted from the advanced regions of the world to the developing regions. A few days back, Latin America was announced by the World Health Organization as the new epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to an article. It means that developing countries from this region with struggling health care systems, corruption, and other issues will be challenged by the novel coronavirus.
Places from the region that are taking the biggest blow from the deadly SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, will need to seriously obey COVID-19 preventive guidelines set by the appropriate authority so that the virus does not spread faster and further which may potentially overwhelm their country's health care system and resources. It means that people may need to take social distancing more seriously and wear their face masks all the time. Establishments and facilities that are often visited by people such as grocery stores and pharmacies may need to conduct frequent cleaning and sanitation. It will entail additional costs for the regular cleaning of business establishments.
