In the latest twist surrounding the Aaron Hernandez murder case, investigators searching for a gun are now investigating the former NFL star's fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins.

The missing weapon is a .45 caliber gun used in the killing of Odin Lloyd, whose body was found Jun. 17 in an industrial park located near Hernandez's home. The 23-year-old Hernandez pleaded not guilty in the case.

CNN acquired search warrant affidavits, which contained details about Jenkins and Ernest Wallace, as well as Hernandez's cousin, Tanya Singleton. The warrants allege that the three individuals "have all made overt attempts to hide evidence, render assistance for suspect to elude law enforcement, and to hinder and mislead this investigation."

The documents also state that Jenkins' sister, Shaneah, told investigators that her uncle told her that Hernandez called Shayanna on Jun. 18 and instructed her to take the weapons out of the home. Investigators also allegedly said that Jenkins' uncle was told that the weapons were disposed of "in the woods."

CNN added that Jenkins has not been charged and that her lawyers have not responded to requests for comment.

These details are just the latest in a horrifying and ongoing investigation that could put Hernandez behind bars for life. The murder took place in peaceful North Attleboro, Mass., where neighbors were shocked and rattled by the entire situation. Amid a sudden national media frenzy, members of the community wondered how such an incident could happen right on their street.

"It's hard to explain how it changed," said one resident, Paul Mangili, in a recent Sports Illustrated article about the neighborhood. "It's almost like all the innocence is gone. To us, it was the quietest street in America."

According to the SI article, Hernandez is also accused of shooting another man in the face and that "various reports" have said that Hernandez is being investigated for a double-homicide last summer.
