American hip hop group Black Eyed Peas has recently released their eighth studio album, titled "Translation," and head honcho Will.i.am was more than thrilled on how their latest effort helped fan the flame further for Latin music.

In a report from Music News, the 43-year-old William James Adams better known as Will.i.am gave much kudos to Latin music, citing that this is now the "new pop."

The new album was released only last June 19 and this was their second effort without Fergie since 2018's Masters of the Sun Vol.1.

However, "Translation" was loaded with Latino and Latina guests such as Shakira, J Balvin, Maluma, and Becky G.

Why Incorporate Latin Music On Their Latest Release

The Madagascar 2: Escape 2 Africa "I Like To Move It" singer expounded in the article how Latin artists have been in an uphill work trying to carve their way to reach mainstream success.

These artists are doing it without complying with the rules and standards set in America.

"Just like these contemporary artists, the Black Eyed Peas didn't find success here but instead toured outside the country to find success," the singer and record producer revealed in the article.

"Now you hear people like J Balvin everywhere - China, France, Australia - places that don't speak Spanish, it is international," he added.

Collaboration With J Balvin

For the Black Eyed Peas and Colombian reggaeton J Balvin, this isn't their first rodeo.

They had a collaboration that brewed an upbeat pounding Latin chart-topper with pulsing beats named "Ritmo." It was part of the "Bad Boys For Life" movie soundtrack last year.

The song marked the now trio's return to the global charts since 2011, as mentioned in Billboard.

The 'Translation' Album Dissected

Besides J Balvin, the new album also featured Columbian sensation Shakira with the sensually swooning "Girl Like Me."

Feisty Becky G from dropped her unrelenting spirit via "Duro Hard," while Maluma helped gives his pipes so you can throw and thrust your hips to "Feel the Beat".

For Will.i.am this is an excellent opportunity to have the Black Eyed Peas songs played mainly for the Latin community.

Blacked Eyed Peas And Fergie

Meanwhile, Will.i.am and his co-hip hop hit-makers have yet to perform with Fergie for quite some time now.

Fans have been hoping for a reunion of sorts.

But the group recently announced that the popular female singer has currently no plan of coming back.

Despite the departure, Will.i.am said there's no ill feelings between them.
