'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Trailer and Cast News: E.L. James Teases Christian Grey Red Room of Pain and Playroom Ahead of 50 Shades Release Date
This week, author of the "Fifty Shades" trilogy, E.L. James, teased the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie adaptation, but are more sneak peeks coming in the near future?
On Monday, James uploaded a picture of a key to Christian Grey's Playroom, also known as the Red Room of Pain, to her Instagram page. The key is property of "Grey Enterprises Holdings, Inc." based on James' caption to the photo, which simply says "#nuffsaid."
Readers of the best-selling book are highly anticipating that the movie bring the Red Room of Pain to life as Christian Grey, played by Jamie Dornan, and Anastasia Steele, played by Dakota Johnson, do what brought the erotic story to fame in the first place.
Meanwhile, many fans would surely settle for a mere trailer, as filming for "Fifty Shades of Grey" ended months ago. According to the rumor mill, however, this may not happen until the fall.
"In April I saw something about how MPAA is changing their rules this fall and not allowing trailers to be shown more than five months before movie release," Laters, Baby!, a "Fifty Shades of Grey" fansite, reported on June 1. "...If this rule is true, then we won't see a trailer until September 13th, or thereabouts."
The fansite also cited a "Fifty Shades of Grey" Twitter fan page that claimed that "something" "Fifty Shades of Grey" related will be released at the end of June or the beginning of July. This is reportedly not a trailer but could be more promotional posters or stills.
In other "Fifty Shades of Grey" news, "Sons of Anarchy" star Charlie Hunnam recently talked about dropping out of the role of Christian Grey.
"I felt like I had an interesting take on that character and felt like I could have done a good job of playing Christian Grey, otherwise I wouldn't have taken it on in the first place," he told Life & Style. "When you put the time into something like that and a character comes alive in your mind, it's heartbreaking not to be able to play him ... It was definitely kind of heartbreaking having to say goodbye to that character and not bring it to life."
"Fifty Shades of Grey" hits theaters Feb. 13, 2015.
