A cash bond of $100,000 was set to a Milwaukee mom who shot and killed her own daughter. She first offered different stories about how her daughter was killed by a black man then another story blaming his own son. However, the prosecutor said that she admitted the crime.

In a criminal complaint about the shooting incident, witnesses heard a gunshot at around 7:30 p.m. They saw Daniel, 22 years old and the mother of the child, ran outside their house while carrying her 2-year-old child who had been shot.

Responders were called and witnesses helped to perform the CPR while waiting for the Paramedics to arrive. Unfortunately, the 2-year child died while they were on their way to Children's Wisconsin. It was first alleged that the child was shot by an unknown black man

During the investigation, the prosecutors assigned on the case found out that Daniels gave different stories to the police and the investigators. At first, she told the police officers that her 2-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son were in her basement apartment while she was outside then she heard three to four rounds of gunshots.

In another story when she was asked again she said that she was with her son and daughter in the basement of their apartment. She heard a gunshot when she looked away for two minutes. She said that she saw her son crying and said that he did not mean to do it. She blamed her son in her second story.

The speculation started when the investigators asked for consent to search the house for the gun. According to the prosecutors, Daniels refused and told the investigators that the gun would not be located inside the residence.

Following it, Daniels was taken into police custody for obstruction. During the search, the following items were found according to a published article in Fox News:

  • A black digital scale
  • A package of suspected cocaine knotted in a clear baggie on the floor by a couch
  • Sergeant major munitions box with four unspent cartridges
  • Multiple cellphones
  • A black Glock magazine (loaded with multiple different brand 9mm cartridges)
  • A plastic baggie containing three nickel 9mm Luger cartridges
  • A pill bottle containing suspected cocaine
  • A fired brass bullet located on the drywall

On July 22 during the additional question, she gave another story She said that she found the gun at the park one week before the incident. She also said that she did not check the gun if it was loaded with bullets or not.

Moreover, the prosecutor said that Daniels remained uncooperative during the interview and refused to identify the persons who lived in the upstairs portion of their house. She claimed that there were only three of them who lived in the basement.

In a fourth interview, the prosecutor said that Daniels admitted she lied to the police. She said that her 3-year-old son did not shot her daughter. Daniels explained that she was in the basement when an unknown black man came and sat on the couch.

The unknown black man started cleaning the gun even though her two children were playing in the same room. She also admitted that she did not bother that an unknown person was in her residence cleaning a gun. According to the complaint, she heard a gunshot five minutes later.

However, the surveillance camera that investigators recovered did not show a black male entering or leaving the residence during the time frame. Additionally, Daniels also denied that her boyfriend and the father of her children was at their residence at that time.

On July 23, she attempted to make another story on how the child was killed. However, this time the police officers told her that no person matches the description in the surveillance video. Then Daniels started crying and said, "I accidentally did it."
