Scott Tweedie, Lilliana Vazquez, and Victor Cruz hosted "Pop of the Morning."

Meanwhile, "In the Room" gave the audiences a sneak peek of what celebrity homes look like.

On the other hand, Tweedie said that he would not be leaving the television network. Tweedie's shows were canceled, as well.

Why Was It Cancelled?

Its parent company, NBCUniversal, announced on Aug. 4 that it would be making a staff cuts due to the economic fallout brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The cuts are expected to affect at least 10 percent of the company's 35,000 full-time employees. This will extend across divisions, which includes broadcast networks, movie studio, and theme parks, according to a CNN report.

The company started laying off employees who work for NBC's sports sites such as Hardball Talk and College Football Talk.

NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell said that the company was undergoing a restructuring.

Shell announced that a few months ago, NBCUniversal decided to combine its television and streaming businesses under Mark Lazarus. He explained that this would allow the company to shift its resources and investment from linear to streaming quickly.

Shell added that Mark is finalizing a new structure that will demonstrate the unique way that the company will be managed going forward. He said that the new structure would be announced soon.

The Future of NBCUniversal

The company launched Peacock, a streaming service that features its TV programming, including late-night show sitcoms.

This also includes hundreds of films along with new original shows.

Aside from laying off employees, NBCUniversal has also started an investigation over allegations of inappropriate behavior by NBC Entertainment chairman Paul Telegdy.

Telegdy denied the allegations and said that the nature of these claims is against everything stand for.

I hope that my actions over decades - empowering those around me, supporting artists, and creating shows with values of aspiration and inclusion at the core - speak louder than the selective words of a few," Telegdy was quoted in The Hollywood reporter article.
