"The Batman" first trailer was unveiled on Saturday by the writer-director Matt Reeves for the film during the final panel of the DC Fandome event.

The teaser, set to "Something in the Way" of Nirvana, focuses mostly on the Riddler, Paul Dano, who is leaving a series of deadly teasers for Batman and Commissioner Gordon, Jeffery Wright.

According to Variety, the teaser reveals a few quick shots of Catwoman played by Zoë Kravitz and gives the first full look of Robert Pattinson in the Batsuit and driving the Batmobile. The revelation underlines Batman's brutal approach in fighting crime as Batman beats a low-level hoodlum to reiterate his point.

In the panel for the film, Reeves said that "The Batman" isn't an origin story per series. Still, the film does start in "Year Two" of Batman's emergence that Batman and other iconic characters- the Riddler, Catwoman, and the Penguin, Colin Farrell are still in the early stages of the development of their character. Batman also begins to unveil a larger story of corruption in Gotham City. The heart of the story shows how corruption is connected to the vastly wealthy and powerful Wayne family.

Through a satellite at the top of the panel, Robert Pattinson said, "I'm very anxious to get back to work and form this beloved character. I've always been a massive fan."

ET Online previously showed Pattinson in a Batsuit along with a look at the Batmobile. However, the teaser trailer showcases Pattinson as Bruce Wayne and Batman in action. Nonetheless, Zoë Kravitz also showed the first look as Selena Kyle mid-cat burglary and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon. Here is the exciting trailer you would love to watch:

Director Reeves said of his approach to the Caped Crusader, "He's like you and me. But if he has a superhero, it's his ability to endure, a version of Batman that isn't about how he became Batman but about the early days of being Batman. He's not perfect."

"The Batman" takes place in the second year fighting crime as a Gotham vigilante of Wayne. Batman is trying to figure out what he can do to change the city. Finally, a murder cases will help reveal that Gotham city is more corrupt than Wayne could have ever imagined and inspire origin stories for the entire gallery of rogues.

"The Batman" had to suspend production amid the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the film is set to start filming again in early September. Reeves stated that the film had a 25% shot so far, and the delay pushed the official release date to October 2021 instead of June 2021.

The first wave of "The Batman" panel capped off DC FanDome events, which is revealed in virtual panels throughout the day, which most of them are confused with Warner Bros.upcoming slate of features based on the properties of DC Comics.
