The "Daisies" superstar has been prepared for months of the name they will give to their newborn baby. Perry and her fiancé Orlando Bloom were both Goodwill Ambassadors for the United Nations Children's Fund. The organization introduces their bundle of joy to the world. However, UNICEF did not give exact details of Perry's delivery.

In an executive statement to the UN agency, Perry and Bloom said that they are floating with love and wonder from the healthy and safe arrival of their daughter.

The proud parents used their milestone to call the attention for the unprivileged moms and children who do not have access to quality medical assistance, especially during this COVD-19 pandemic.

The couple said, "Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers, and every eleven seconds, a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes."

Their statement added that since COVID-19, many newborn lives are at risk as parents to a newborn, and the situation breaks their hearts. Besides the good news for the couple, a donation page was created by Perry and Bloom to support UNICEF in "celebration of the heart we know our daughter already has."

The "Skyscraper" singer first revealed that she and Orlando were expecting their first child on Instagram earlier this year. In an interview with Sirius XM, Katy shared how her mom ruined the couple's pregnancy surprise. Perry planned to reveal her pregnancy to her mom the same way she had with her friends by putting the announcement on a wine label and gifting it.

Perry said, "I'd bring the wine to dinner or something, or I would give it as a gift to a friend, like, 'Here's a nice bottle of wine,' and they would get the reaction later."

But the surprise was interrupted, and she didn't have the chance to do the wine reveal with her mom because she came over and was looking at Perry's wine, which her mom never does." She was like, 'What is this?' And that's how it happened. I guess moms have intuition unlike any other," Perry added.

Before giving birth to her firstborn, Katy Perry recently opened up to PEOPLE that she felt ready for motherhood recently. The "Fireworks" singer said she was terrified of being a mother two or three years ago. "It was just like, I don't know how I'm ever going to do that. That's crazy. I can barely take care of myself!" Perry said.

However, after Perry underwent the Hoffman Process during a deep depression over the last several years, Perry felt the change. The "California Gurl" singer explained that it helped her fix her mind of how she will think about herself and the patterns of why she is doing a thing. "It's just given me a lot more freedom," Perry said.

Perry told PEOPLE that she was no longer afraid of bringing a child into the world. "Unconditional love has been a journey for me, and that's going to be amazing," the songstress added.
