"The Rock" gets COVID-19, as well as his wife Lauren Hashian and two small daughters, Jasmin, 4, and Tiana, 2.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson announced on Wednesday via a video he posted on Instagram that he and his family had all tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

The wrestler-turned-actor, however, said they are doing well now and have survived the dreaded pandemic, as reported by NBC. He added that he and his wife had it rough but are stronger and healthier.

Johnson said it was one of the most difficult and challenging things that his family had ever endured.

The "Jumanji" actor said that testing positive for COVID-19 was worse than when he got injured or evicted or broke, which he said had happened to him many times.

According to Johnson, they caught it, even when they were strictly adhering to the protocols, from "very close family friends" who also had no idea how they had been infected as they were also dutifully following the stringent measure put in place to stop the widespread of the disease.

He said their family friends were sorry for having infected them.

After The Rock gets COVID-19, he said that he is counting his blessings because he is aware that not many can recover from the disease. He added that his first priority is always to protect his family.

Wear Your Face Masks

Johnson accompanied his video with this message: "Stay disciplined. Boost your immune system, Commit to wellness. Wear your mask. Protect your family. Be strict about having people over your house or gatherings. Stay positive. And care for your fellow human beings. Stay healthy, my friends."

One can never be too careful, and Johnson said that friends should get tested for COVID-19 before visiting their friends.

He added that he could not understand why some people, including some politicians, are using the wearing of masks as part of their agenda, said a report on BBC.

Johnson noted that wearing masks has nothing to do with politics and just wear them because it is a fact and the right thing to do.

He further noted that he does not care what political party people are affiliated with, what part of the world they are from, what skin color or bank account; he just urged everyone to be very cautious, as ESPN reported.

He said that he cares about everybody and does not want anyone or their family to get COVID-19.

The actor noted that he believes in hope, in optimism, the doctors, the epidemiologists, the scientists, and everyone else working hard to produce a vaccine. He added that what we should do now is control the "controllables."

Before becoming one of the most highest-paid actors in Hollywood, Johnson first found fame in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

This year, Johnson added "league owner" to his accomplishments after his group bought the XFL, a professional American Football League created as an alternative to the NFL.

As The Rock gets COVID-19, it is an example that this disease excludes no one and can infect just about anyone in the world.
