President Donald Trump issued an executive order on Tuesday expanding the ban of using federal money on diversity trainings.

For the new ban, Trump issued an order that said he would ban the military, government contractors and grantees from some diversity training.

Trump's order is an extension of the one from the White House earlier this month. It ordered to stop paying for critical race theory diversity trainings in federal agencies only.

"Today, I've expanded that ban to people and companies that do business with our country," Trump said in a tweet.

The lengthy order said it forbids "divisive concepts" that teach that the U.S. is "fundamentally racist and sexist." It also did not approve of the idea that people bear "responsibility for actions committed in the past by other members of the same race or sex."

It says military men will not face any penalty for refusing to believe such concepts, reported Reuters.

"Americans should be taught to take PRIDE in our Great Country, and if you don't, there's nothing in it for you!" tweeted Trump as the order was issued.

He said these kinds of trainings create "divisive and harmful sex and race-based ideologies."

On September 4, the White House Office of Management and Budget issued a memo before the president's order. It said federal agencies could no longer use taxpayer money for "un-American propaganda sessions."

It cracked down on the topics of critical race theory and white privilege.

OMB Director Russell Vought said the president was made aware of the "millions of dollars" put into such trainings.

He added that the trainings opposed the "fundamental beliefs for which our nation has stood since its inception."

Reexamining America

The order comes amid the controversies in race in the U.S. in recent months. Protests have been held since late May after killings of several Black Americans like the case of George Floyd, among others.

But Trump did not believe systemic racism was one of the problems faced by America.

Last week, he announced plans to create a commission promoting "patriotic education." He dubbed it the 1776. He said the panel will encourage teachers and students to learn about "the miracle of American history."

He said the Democrats and Times' "1619 Project" was not giving a truly accurate picture of the country's history. For him, there was so much emphasis on race and the legacy of slavery under the project.

No Place in Taxpayer Money

The new order took issue with the Treasury Department, said a report from Associated Press. It recently held a seminar arguing that all White people "regardless of how 'woke' they are," contribute to racism.

They also had training materials from Argonne National Laboratories, a federal entity in suburban Chicago. The materials included language that said racism "is interwoven into every fabric of America."

The order listed other examples of federal training that the White House runs contrary to. For the White House, all individuals were created equal and should be allowed equal opportunity under the law.

"Such ideas may be fashionable in the academy," the order said. "But they have no place in programs and activities supported by Federal taxpayer dollars."
