Xbox Offers Some Free Games Perfect for Halloween

Xbox players is in for a treat this October.

Going out might not be an ideal activity right now with the pandemic. But you can still enjoy the Halloween night in the safety of your homes.

Turn off the lights and enter an experience with your Xbox. Xbox Live Gold subscribers and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can even play some games for free this month.

Here are some of the line-up that could complete your Halloween trick or treat.

Slayaway Camp: Butcher's Cut

Slayaway Camp: Butcher's Cut is a killer puzzle game where you can control Skullface. It is a psychotic slasher hellbent on revenge.

This game is a darkly comic homage to '80s horror moves. This one is not a new game but it will sure give you the thrill you are looking for on a Halloween night.

This game can now be claimed by Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members as a part of their perks.

Dead by Deadlight

If you ever wished you could play one of your favorite characters in a horror movie, this might be your chance.

Dead by Daylight is a game you can enjoy with your friends. This allows you to choose between playing as an unstoppable killer or one of four survivors trying to escape a violent death.

This edition includes nine killers and 10 survivors to choose from. This game is currently free for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

Celeste

Celeste is developed by Canadian video game developers Maddy Thorson and Noel Berry. The art was created by Brazilian studio MiniBoss.

This was first released on Jan. 25, 2018. It is a single player adventure with charming characters and a story of self-discovery. It was previously available to download for free for Xbox Live Gold members.

Sphinx and The Cursed Mummy

Mummies have always been a legend to be scared of. What more if it's told during the Halloween season?

Relive the mummy stories you heard with Sphinx and The Cursed Mummy game. This is an action-adventure game inspired by the mythology of ancient Egypt. It features a use of Sphinx and his increasing variety of skills to defeadt mythical monsters.

The game allows you to interact with hundreds of unique creatures, may it be a foe or an ally. This an immersive storyline, which could keep you occupied on a Halloween night.

It is free to download from Oct. 1 to 15 for Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

Maid of Sker

Maid of Sker is a first-person survival horror game. The game is set in a remote hotel with a violent history from Welsh folklore.

This was initially released on Jul. 28, 2020. Maid of Sker was developed and published by Wales Interactive.

One user said that Maid of Sker is one of the best horror games there is. Adding to that there is an extraordinary story and good graphics. It is available on the Xbox One from Oct. 16 to Nov. 15.

Costume Quest

If dressing up is one of your favorite activity to do during Halloween, do not worry. You will still be able to enjoy it through this game.

Costume Quest allows you to collect super powered magical costumes and boost your hero's abilities in the monster-filled neighborhoods.

Costume Quest has a numerous quest to keep you occupied, build up your party, and battle the evil in the Halloween tale.

This was first release on Oct. 19, 2020. The game was developed by Double Fine and designed by Tasha Harris. For Xbox 360, it will be available free from Oct. 16 to 31.
