Fans celebrate as Los Angeles Dodgers clinch its seventh world series title.

Whittier Boulevard and Simmons Avenue, as well as the intersection of Olympic and Atlantic boulevards were shrouded in smoke after large number of cars doing burnouts.

In some areas, police cars were stationed as blockades.

L.A. Metro advised that its bus services may be delayed or detoured due to the street celebrations.

The rail service, however, was fully functional.

This is the team's seventh World Series title and sixth since the team moved to Los Angeles in 1958.

This is the first time the team has won the championship since the 1988.

Los Angeles police Chief Michael Moore and public health officials had told the fans to celebrate at home due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Moore said on Tuesday that officers were being dispatched to Dodger Stadium and other areas where they anticipate fans to gather.

Los Angeles Times report said that this is to ensure that people are acting lawfully, as reported by KTLA.com.

Moore added that their response to any illegal activity would be quick.

"There will be no tolerance for violence. There is no room in Los Angeles for people to commit vandalism," Moore said during Tuesday's Police Commission meeting.

Several people had suffered severe injuries during Lakers championship celebration downtown because of police projectiles.

Police said that one man lost eight teeth and a portion of his lower lip when struck by a rubber bullet.

Earlier reports also said that another man's eye exploded after he was hit by a police bullet.

Barbara Ferrer, the county's top public health official, warned that fans gathering due to Lakers and Dodgers win may have helped increase the spread of COVID-19 in the area.

Ferrer said that it is wonderful that the city has both incredible teams with such talent.

"The downside of this is that during the pandemic, some of the things we've done in the past just don't make sense," Ferrer was quoted in a report.

Meanwhile, Corey Seager become the Most Valuable Player of the World Series after having the honor for the National League Championship series.

This was just as the same as Orel Hershiser did when the Dodgers won the World Series title in 1988.

Seager commented on being the World Series champion, saying that it could not be any more special.

The Dodgers also posted the best record in the major during this pandemic-shortened version.

Seager said that it phenomenal and the team was incredible.

"We never stopped. We were ready to go as soon as the bell was called. Once it did, we kept rolling. You can't say enough about what we did this season," Seager was quoted in an ESPN report.

Los Angeles had fell short in the World Series twice in the previous three years.

Betts was on the other side two years ago and clinched the Game 5 for the Boston Red Sox.

In July, Los Angeles gave Betts a $365 million, 12-year extension.

The contract goes until he turns 40 in 2032.
