"I Wanna Marry Harry" debuted on Fox TV on May 20. The idea of this reality TV show is comparable to that of "Joe Millionaire." The show invited 12 American women to compete with each other and vie for Prince Harry's affection. The twist to the plot is that this Prince Harry is not real but actually a guy pretending to be Prince Harry.

The look-alike Prince Harry is Matthew Hicks, who is in fact a bachelor and currently working in an environmental consultancy company. Hicks, who resembles the bad-boy prince, has impersonated Prince Harry before but to a smaller scale. He admits to not having any actual acting experience. To get the accurate hair color of Prince Harry, Hicks had to have his hair dyed in the red color (he is a natural blond). Hicks also received a short amount of princely training in activities like fencing, horseback riding and ballroom dancing, all of which are needed in the show. He was also educated on the life of Prince Harry, allowing him to give mostly correct answers to the contestants.

The 12 women contestants on the show are:

  • 23-year-old Rose Copeland, a Special preschool teacher from Westlake Village, California (Episode 1)
  • 24-year-old Leach Thom, a Cocktail waitress from Fort Worth, Texas (Episode 1)
  • 25-year-old Andrea Fox, a Lead Development Representative from Longview, Texas (Episode 2)
  • 26-year-old Meghan Ramsey Jones, an Artist from Tustin California
  • 25-year-old Maggie Toraason, an Account Executive from Peru, Illinois
  • 24-year-old Kimberly Birch, a Promotional model from Malverne, Long Island, New York (Episode 2)
  • 25-year-old Kelly Andrews, a Hostess from Mobile, Alabama (Episode 4)
  • 25-year-old Katrina Kennedy, a Physical Therapist from Palos Hills, Illinois (Episode 3)
  • 25-year-old Jacqueline Conroy, a Nutritionist/Model/Actor from Rockville Centre, Long Island, New York
  • 24-year-old Anna Lisa Matias, Miss LA from San Francisco, California (Episode 4)
  • 22-year old Chelsea Brookshire, an Actress/Model from Long Beach, California (quit Episode 4)
  • 24-year-old Carley Hawkins, an Instructional Pre-Med Student from Buffalo, Missouri (Episode 3)

Danny Fenton, during an interview on "Good Morning Britain," said that more than 100 Prince Harry look-alikes from different nationalities were interviewed for the role. The show was canceled on June 12, 2014 because of poor ratings.
