The quick increase of COVID-19 infections in the country just proved what health experts expect. They also said this will continue to rise in the coming winter season and holidays.

Meanwhile, economists also raised concerns over the economic impact of the virus.

This will lead to more hospitalization, deaths, lockdowns, house evictions, and unemployment.

In fact, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell asked Congress recently to act on the new stimulus package to help boost the economy. He also emphasized that COVID-19 vaccines are not guarantees that will end the pandemic and will help the economy.

The federal fund under the continuing resolution that both chambers approved will run until the end of this year and can only be renewed through serious negotiations. M

Additionally, another stimulus package should be passed before Dec. 31, 2020.

The top-ranking Republican and Democratic officials, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, were reportedly not spoken about the stimulus package. Their last negotiation was when the White House offered $1.9 trillion.

Despite this, President Donald Trump and Joe Biden are both calling for another stimulus package.

On Saturday, Pres. Trump posted on his social media account his support for a new stimulus bill that is both large and focused on the needs of millions of Americans.

Pres. Trump and his administration have been pushing for another stimulus package after the first relief aid expired in July. Following this, he urged Congress to act but the House of Representatives was not able to pass a stimulus bill.

This led Trump to release an executive order that mandates the Federal Emergency Management Agency to divert its unspent budget and use it for unemployment benefits.

This has somehow helped millions of unemployed individuals to receive $300 jobless claims which lasted for six months.

On the other hand, a news report from Business Insider reported that Joe Biden said, "One of the urgent things that need to be done is people need relief right now."

But he also stresses that this will only happen once he enters the White House this coming January 2021.

Joe Biden has already laid out his plans on how to address the economic impact of COVID-19 in the country.

It can be remembered that he also said that his top priority is to address the pandemic and to give a larger stimulus package to millions of Americans.

The stimulus package of Joe Biden seems to include the provisions under the CARES Act that was passed in March It was also reported that Biden's stimulus package includes stimulus checks, PPP loans, unemployment benefits, and more.
