WATCH: Gigantic Alligator Spotted Strolling Across Valencia Golf Course in Florida
A gigantic alligator was spotted across the Valencia Golf course in Florida.
On Wednesday, the enormous alligators stopped golfers in their tracks to witness and take a picture of the reptile at the Valencia Golf and Country Club in Naples, Florida. According to ABC13, golfers said the alligator appeared to be almost 17 feet long.
During the tropical storm Eta, the alligator was spotted strolling in the area. Due to the animal's size, many people on social media questioned whether the alligator was real.
Tyler Stolting, the first assistant golf professional at the club, first spotted the reptile. The enormous alligator was perusing the course's grounds as Tropical Storm Eta brought gale-force winds and storm surges about 60 miles west-northwest of Tampa, as per the NBC News.
Stolting, who recorded the alligator's video, admitted to the New York Post that he was "a little shocked" when he saw the alligator roaming the golf course. He added that it was the biggest one he had ever seen.
Have you SEEN THIS?? it’s real, very real, it’s an “ALLIGATOR” this is in Florida, apparently frozen iguanas fall out of the trees too in Miami when it gets “cold”. I’m so happy all I have to deal with in England is audacious pigeons man, I’d actually just run home screaming pic.twitter.com/gYrSRaaeJJ — Winnie (@MissWinz) November 12, 2020
However, the reptile and amphibian research leader of the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, David Steen, said that there was nothing unusual regarding the alligator's size.
Through a Twitter post, Steen said, "It's an iconic species and conservation success story. But in short, there's nothing unusual about this alligator or the video."

Besides, it was not the first time an alligator was spotted in Valencia Golf and Country Club. American golfer Cody Gribble nudged a slumbering alligator off the fairway during the Arnold Palmer Invitational opening in 2017 in Florida.
The Sun reported that a local named Jeff Jones filmed the gigantic creature from his buggy as the alligator strolled around the course. American alligators are known to grow enormously in size. The biggest ever captured in Florida was an eye-watering 5.31 meters long. The spotted alligator in the course doesn't look far off that huge measurement.
Social media people were left in awe, with some even compared the alligator to a certain fictional monster. According to Pop Culture, several viewers on social media questioned the authenticity of the alligator captures in the video.
They doubted if the creature could really grow to that size, which both Stolting and his colleague, Jeff Jones, clarified that the alligator was 100% real. Jones said residents near the golf course had also spotted alligators in the past.
In a different American state, a similar incident of spotted alligators happened last year. Golfers in Georgia recorded a video of a spotted nine-foot alligator. The witnesses' play halted as the alligator fancied a stroll across the 17th green.
People also described the alligator spotted in Georgia as a 'monster.' However, it casually popped back into the water and allowed flustered plates to finish their game.
