The National Football League has recently released an updated guideline over COVID-19 measures.

The protocol aims to control the spread of the virus that might be the cause of another delay of the league. This is the reason why all members of the team are very cautious inside and outside the field.

The Denver Bronco's three quarterback players Drew Lock, Brett Rypien, and Blake Bortles cannot play on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints after they were exposed to a COVID-19 positive player, according to a published report in ESPN.

The three quarterback players were deemed to be high-risk COVID-19 close contacts and none of them will be in uniform on their scheduled game on Sunday.

The Denver Bronco announced this report on Saturday night but they did not tell who among the players tested positive for COVID-19.

However, a reliable source told ESPN that quarterback player Jeff Driskel tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday and was already moved to the team's reserved or COVID-19 list later that day.

Despite this, the Denver Broncos do not have a plan to forfeit their game. The three quarterback players, who are on the practice squad, were pulled off the field on early Saturday's practice.

The players were also told to isolate at home after contact tracing was done. It was also found out that the three quarterback players did not wear a mask at one point during contact with Driskel.

However, it is still not clear if this incident occurred during practice or a meeting.

In the previous post of Latin Post that the National Football League has expanded its rule mandating players, coaches, and other essential persons in all teams to wear masks.

Moreover, the Denver Broncos also said in the official statement they released that all their quarterback players are not experiencing any symptoms.

"All three have consistently tested negative for COVID-19 via both daily PCR testing and additional POC testing administered as a precaution."

Even though the team said that they strictly observe social distancing during the team's meeting, Lock, Rypien, Bortles, and Driskel are usually closest to each other when the players stretch to open practice each day. In fact, are all next to each other in the front row.

Vic Fangio, Denver Broncos coach, said that the team's running back Royce Freeman is the team's emergency quarterback.

It is also possible that wide receiver Kendal Hinton will be elevated as a quarterback player. He played the position during his first three seasons at Wake Forest.

The National Football League gave clearance for the team to practice on Saturday. They began their work-out at around 1:00 p.m. Mountain Time. Friday was the third time the Broncos have canceled practices and other on-site activities at their facility this season.
