George Clooney Reacted To Tom Cruise's Leaked Audio
George Clooney understood how Tom Cruise reacted to the production crew after violating the COVID-19 guidelines.
In the leaked audio of the "Mission: Impossible" star, he can be heard admonishing crew members for not adhering to social distancing.
According to a published article in The Sun, Cruise has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to enforce tight social-distancing rules during the filming, taking place in London. Then the A-lister spotted two of his crew members standing two meters from each other.
After the leaked audio went viral, Clooney reacted and said he understood his fellow A-lister's intention, but he would have delivered the message differently.
He added that he has friends who worked in the industry, and he completely understands the passion exhibited by Cruise, according to a published article in Fox News.
Clooney told Howard Stern in the latter's radio show SiriusXM: "He didn't overreact because it is a problem. I have a friend who's an AD on another TV show who just had the almost exact same thing happen with not quite as far out a response."
Clooney also asserted that if it's him, he would have done it big. He explained: "You're in a position of power and it's tricky, right? You do have a responsibility for everybody else and he's absolutely right about that. And, you know, if the production goes down, a lot of people lose their jobs. People have to understand that and have to be responsible. It's just not my style to take everybody to a task that way."
Tom Cruise's Leaked Audio
The audio that leaked contained Cruise yelling and said: "We are creating thousands of jobs you motherf--kers. I don't ever want to see it again. Ever. And if you don't do it, you're fired, and I see you do it again, you're f--king gone."
It was also reported that 50 staff at Warner Bros. Studios at Leavesden in Hertfordshire were left stunned after Cruise's outburst in anger.
Cruise was also heard saying, "They're back there in Hollywood making movies right now because of us. We are creating thousands of jobs, you motherf***ers. That's it. No apologies. You can tell it to the people that are losing their f***ing homes because our industry is shut down."
It can be remembered that the production of "Mission Impossible 7" in Venice, Italy was suspended for three weeks due to coronavirus safety concerns and surges of COVID-19 cases way back in February.
An article published in Variety also reported that the film was once again recently forced to delay production for a week after people in the set tested positive for the virus.
