Republicans Against Overturning Election Results Should Leave GOP, Rudy Giuliani Says
U.S. President Donald Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani said that any member of the GOP who is against upending the presidential election results should be ousted from the party. Giuliani went on to say that those Republican lawmakers in Pennsylvania and Arizona are liars and a disgrace.
The Trump attorney addressed Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, saying that Ducey should join another political party with any Republican state legislators who failed to help Trump's legal team in overturning President-elect Joe Biden's win, according to a Newsweek report.
Giuliani further said Trump and Vice President Mike Pence's final legal options to remain in the office would be submitting two sets of state electors for Congress to count this week.
Giuliani said one result that allows Trump to remain in the office is "you can't determine a winner, but you can determine the election was illegal."

Republicans Against Overturning Election Result
Meanwhile, Sen. Mitt Romney described the effort to reject Electoral College votes as a threat to democracy. He called the movement by a group of senators a ploy.
"The congressional power to reject electors is reserved for the most extreme and unusual circumstances," Romney was quoted on The Salt Lake Tribune report. Romney said that these are far from it.
A bipartisan group of 10 senators, which includes Romney, issued a statement objecting the effort to overturn the Electoral College results.
The statement said that further attempts to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the 2020 Presidential election are contrary to the clearly expressed will of the American people. It added that it only serves to undermine Americans' confidence in the already determined election results.
Meanwhile, Trump is pressuring Pence to overturn the result of the presidential election when Congres meets to certify the Electoral College votes on Wednesday.
Trump falsely suggested that Pence could use the occasion to invalidate the result, according to Financial Times report.
Trump wrote on Twitter and said that the vice-president has the power to reject fraudulently chosen electors.
Trump reiterated this during the rally, saying that he is hoping that the vice-president comes through for us, adding that if he does not come through, he will not like him as much.
Both House and Senate will debate the issue in their chambers for up to two hours, if an objection is raised.
This will be followed by a vote whether to reject or accept the electors in every state. Congress would have to reject the electors in several states for Trump supporters to be able to overturn the results.
However, Democrats are in control of the House and the Republicans like Romney in the Senate are not on board with this plan.
Romney went on to say that more Americans participated in the 2020 election, adding that the Justice Department found no evidence of voter fraud. In addition, Trump's attempts to challenge the election results in several courts did not move forward.
As of now, 12 Republican senators have said that they will attempt to challenge and possibly overturn the results of the election.
