Quarterback Dwayne Haskins Finds a New Team With Pittsburgh Steelers
Former Washington Football Team quarterback player and team captain Dwayne Haskins has finally found a new team.
Dwayne Haskins Found a New Team
Dwayne Haskins is one of the most controversial NFL players during the pandemic after he violated the league's COVID-19 protocol. NFL is one of the sports leagues in the country with the most stringent rules and guidelines against COVID-19.
According to FOX News, former quarterback player of Washington Football Team Dwayne Haskins has finally found a new team. He has agreed to sign a reserve or futures contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers after he visited the team on Thursday.
NFL Network reports that the Steelers did not upgrade their Quarterback room in 2020. This is why they signed into a contract with Dwayne Haskins to become part of their team. Haskins is expected to contribute to the team because of his big arm that can spray the ball all over the field.
It was also reported that Haskins met the Carolina Panthers but for unknown reasons, the two sides did not come up with an agreement or it was not even known if Panthers offered a contract to Haskins. As of this time, what is clear is that Haskins has finally found a new home.
Washington Released Dwayne Haskins
Dwayne Haskins only made 13 starts for the Washington Football Team in less than two years. However, no one expected that Washington will release him because he even led the group as the team captain.
Fans were surprised when Washington made a decision to let Haskins depart from the team in December.
Moreover, Haskins was not immediately picked by any teams in NFL after he departed from Washington. In fact, before he was released from the team, he fined $40,000 and was removed as the team captain after he was caught photographed without a mask at a party.
His appearance at the party without wearing a mask is a violation of the NFL's COVID-19 protocols.
Additionally, Haskins ended up starting for Washington in its Week 16 game against the Panthers but was benched in favor of third-string quarterback Taylor Heinicke. The following day, Haskins was released from the team.

Meanwhile, it seems that the Steelers are looking for young quarterback players who can help them.
This is after current starter Ben Roethlisberger's future is still up in the air following an abysmal performance against the Cleveland Browns in the Wild Card Round of the AFC playoffs. At that time, he had four turnovers in a season-ending loss.
Steelers also said that they are willing to nurture the 23-year-old quarterback player Dwayne Haskins who needs experience and positive coaching to get his career on track. With the help of Mike Tomlin, behind Big Ben, could be a positive landing spot for both parties.
