Jailbreak iOS 7.1 Untethered Cydia Tweaks, News, Download & Update: Top 3 Tweaks to Make Your iPhone Operate Like Android
There are so many things you can do when you jailbreak your iPhone, but it's still an iPhone. It can't do the things that an Android device can, or can it?
Thanks to these tweaks, iPhone users that have already jailbroken their devices can now perform functions normally reserved to those with an Android device.
OKSiri: One advantage that Android devices have is the OkGoogle! feature. This means that Android personal assistant (their version of Siri) is always on. You don't have to hold the home key to get the assistant to help you. You merely just ask a question by saying, "Ok, Google," and that allows you to search Google. Once iOS 8 finally comes out, you'll be able to the same thing, but with this tweak, you can do it now. Just make sure you have the free app Activator. You'll be able to then say, "Ok, Siri," and then Siri will pop up. You can then ask Siri anything you want like, "What will the weather be like tomorrow?" or, "Do I have any appointments today?" The app is still working out some kinks, and it's a little slow. But it's the closest it comes to the Android OkGoogle! feature until iOS 8 is released.
PredictiveKeyboard is a tweak that is another early iOS 8 preview. Android devices have a nice predictive text keyboard that gets to know the words you type and pre-fills them for you. PredictiveKeyboard is the next best thing for iOS 7 jailbroken devices. You'll be able to train the keyboard by just typing. Over time it will get used to the words you type and will be able to make better predictions to the next word you are about to type.
HapticPro is a texting and typing tweak. With iPhones, as long as you have the sound enabled, you'll get a click every time you type a letter. This gets annoying fast, and many people disable it. With this tweak, you'll be able to get the phone to vibrate every time you press a letter on the keyboard. Most Android users like this feature because then they know they've hit the key and can move onto the next one when typing a message. It's only $2.99 and worth it if you like feedback without that anoying audible click that comes on iPhones.
All of these tweaks are available on Cydia. Have you tried any of these tweaks? Let us know in the comments section!
