Murder Suspect Slams in a Semi-Truck Upon Leading Pursuit with Police Officers
A murder suspect crashed into a truck, leading a pursuit from police officers on Tuesday evening. The chase began in San Diego to Los Angeles in California and lasted for about two hours, according to a Fox News report.
The suspect that was tailed by the authorities is allegedly involved in assaulting a law enforcement officer and a murder. The chase began in San Diego Area around 5:30 in the afternoon, according to an NBC Los Angeles report. The said pursuit is headed north of 215 Freeway towards Riverside County.

Murder Suspect and the Pursuit
The chase ended when the car of the suspect slammed into a truck as it turned left on the wrong side of the street. In the video by NBC LA, the suspect was driving recklessly, aiming to lose the authorities, but the suspect suddenly slammed into a truck that was making a wide right.
The crash with the truck happened in Ontario, at Holt Boulevard and San Antonio Avenue. At least six patrol units from the sheriff are chasing the black pickup truck, according to a KTLA report. The suspect was identified as Michael Caleb Reed, a 35-year-old parolee who is wanted for suspicion of carjacking and evasion. Reed was also accused of killing a 40-year-old in a home in Harrison Drive on March 28, 2021.
Before the semi-truck, the suspect also bumped into the surface of the street in Pomona at around 6:20 p. m. A pickup truck caused a sedan and another truck to collide. Because the suspect was unscathed, the pursuit of the pickup truck continued.
The pickup truck also went to the parking lot located in Paloma Drive and Holt Avenue, hitting another truck, then continue.
Authorities noted that the suspect was driving for about 90 mph on Highway 60 while driving on the wrong side of the road. Because of this, several cars were nearly hit. The murder suspects also drove on the sidewalk while the pickup truck was chased by the authorities.
In addition, the murder suspect was also tossing random objects or papers from the window several times during the pursuit. Moreover, few people were also dropped during the chase and will continue driving after that.
The End of the Pursuit
The pickup truck whom Reed was driving slammed with the truck just before seven in the evening.
Authorities confirmed that the airbags of the pickup truck were deployed while a passenger was discovered. The report noted that a woman passenger was seen hanging the arms and head out the window.
Authorities highlighted that Reed eventually went out of the pickup car and crawled towards the deputies. The woman passenger was also taken under custody but was later released. Meanwhile, the authorities did not further on the details of the alleged assault by the murder suspect on a law enforcement officer.
