A Miami school has expressed their distrust of the COVID-19 vaccines as they refuse to employ educators who have been vaccinated.

The new policy that the Centner Academy sent to the parents through a letter has prompted them to look for a new school, NBC 6 reported.

The said Miami school has also announced a policy that directs their teachers not to get the vaccine or else they won't be allowed to be around the students.

The Miami Private School Against COVID-19 Vaccines

Apart from discouraging teachers from getting inoculated, the Centner Academy also cited misinformation about the vaccine, USA Today reported.

Leila Centner, a co-founder of the Centner Academy in the city's Design District, pointed out in the letter that the decision was not easy to make. However, Centner noted that the impact of the "experimental drug" on unvaccinated people is still unclear. She also cited reports that vaccinated people may "inadvertently" impact the health of others.

"We know not everyone agrees on this topic, but this is our philosophy at Centner Academy, one in which many of our teachers and parents share," Centner said in a statement acquired by NBC 6.

Because of the directive, the employment of the faculty is tied to their decision to reject the shot. The Miami school has also required all employees to provide their "confidential responses" in a survey about taking or planning to take a COVID-19 vaccine, Insider reported.

The letter sent to parents also indicated that the institution would take legal action if they did not answer the form accurately.

One parent told NBC 6 that she is not sure if there will be teachers left at the institution. The parent noted that the academy had required her to sign a document that prohibits parents from badmouthing the Miami school.

The parent said she wanted to take her child out of the school. But she said her hands are tied as she has already paid about $30,000 for tuition.

Centner argued that their responses and actions are rooted in "caution and thoughtful decision making," which prioritized their students' health and safety.

Miami School Citing Misinformation

The Centner Academy has cited several myths about the COVID-19 vaccines. The school noted that those who have received the vaccine jabs might transmit "something" from their bodies to those they come in contact with.

The school also said that "women all over the world have recently been reporting adverse reproductive issues" after receiving any of the COVID vaccines. The school alleged that women are experiencing bleeding, miscarriages, hemorrhaging, and amenorrhea.

However, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has debunked the ill connection between COVID-19 vaccines and pregnancy. Experts said that Pfizer and Moderna's shots were safe for pregnant women as well as their babies.

The White House recently launched a social media vaccine campaign that aims to eradicate vaccine misinformation.

Meanwhile, the Centner Academy noted that their decision would remain until they know for sure that the vaccines are 100 percent safe.
