The attempted kidnapping of a Florida man failed and led to his arrest based on the sheriff of Escambia County after the 11-year-old girl supposed victim fought back and escaped to safety on Tuesday morning.

During a news conference, the Escambia County sheriff stated that the girl fought and never gave up that is why she was able to escape in the hands of the suspect.

Later on, the suspect was identified as 30-year-old, Jared Paul Stanga, who now faces charges of attempted kidnapping of a child, battery, and aggravated assault. The sheriff also mentioned that Stanga had an object with him, which was believed to be a knife.

According to NBC News, Chip Simmons, the sheriff of Escambia County shared that the attempted abduction happened at around 7 a.m. at a bus stop. The time of the incident was confirmed after the attempted abduction was captured on a home surveillance video. Later on, the video also led investigators to the home of Stanga, where he was arrested.

Moreover, despite the arrest of the suspect, still, the County sheriff cannot believe what happened, because for him it rarely happens. He also said that when he saw the video, he was shocked that the attempted abduction happened in Escambia County.

In addition, the sheriff stated that the girl did everything right as he fought her way out of the hands of the abductor. She then ran to her parents and told them about the incident. The parents of the 11-year-old girl then informed the law enforcement about the incident.

Furthermore, the captured video shows Stanga running toward the victim and tried to carry the 11-year-old on his back while moving towards his vehicle. But on his way back to his getaway vehicle, Stanga stumbled and run off without the girl.

'Blue Slime'

Before the attack happened, the girl was playing with her 'blue slime' toy until the attempted abduction occured. Based on the statement of the sheriff, at the time of the arrest, the deputies confirmed that the man had a blue substance on his arms, Metro reported.

Also, during the arrest, Simmons mentioned that the chrome bumper of the vehicle had been painted black. The sheriff stated that apparently, it is an effort to alter its appearance after a description of the bumper was given out during the initial investigation. It was not immediately clear if the 30-year-old suspect had an attorney late Tuesday.

On the other hand, after an initial assessment, the girl was said to be fine and only has minor scratches. But she also experienced some mental trauma.

Meanwhile. the sheriff of Escambia County, Simmons also mentioned that the suspect will never be free to do it again. But now their concern was the fact that this was not his first try of the suspect, Daily Mail reported.

About two weeks ago, the girl stated that the same white car approached her and the driver of the vehicle even tried to talk to her. After that incident, she reported it to her parents and to the school principal.
