At least two were dead, and more than 20 were injured in a Miami mass shooting early Sunday morning. The shooting happened at the El Mula Banquet Hall in northwest Miami-Dade County, according to USA Today. The said venue was reportedly being rented out for a concert.

The Miami mass shooting is the latest in the United States. Last week, a separate mass shooting occurred in San Jose, California that took at least 10 lives, including the gunman, at the VTA Rail Yard.

2 Dead and More Than 20 Injured in Miami Mass Shooting

USA Today reported that apart from the two people who died on the scene, at least 25 people were hurt and went to various hospitals for treatment.

NBC News initially reported that Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported eight injured victims to hospitals, while 12 other victims went to the hospitals on their own. One victim, who was transported to a hospital, is in critical condition.

Authorities did not provide details regarding the remaining number of casualties and the hospitals where the victims were brought.

"I am at the scene of another targeted and cowardly act of violence," Miami-Dade police director Alfredo "Freddy" Ramirez III tweeted.

Ramirez also offered his sympathies to the families of the victims. He also confirmed that the mass shooting was done by three people who rolled out of an SUV and opened fire on the crowd present in the venue. 

Officers noted that the shooters fled the scene after they opened fire.

"We will do everything we can to bring the shooters to justice," tweeted Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava.

The Miami-Dade County mayor also labeled the mass shooting as a "despicable, cold-blooded act." 

Cava further noted that she is working closely with the Miami-Dade Police Department to fight and curb the violence through strategies aimed at prevention and intervention.

Authorities have yet to release the identities of the victims of the Miami mass shooting as of Sunday afternoon.

Reward Money Being Offered for Information on Suspects in Miami Mass Shooting

As authorities sought the public's help in finding the three suspects in the mass shooting, Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis offered a $100,000 reward to help the police in his hometown find the gunmen.

Ramirez expressed his gratitude to the CEO and said, "this is our community, we are stronger together." An additional $25,000 was added by ATF Miami.

Because of this, a total of $125,000 are now being offered to those who can provide information about the suspects. Ramirez acknowledged the difficulty in stopping a "small amount of individuals" who want to commit murder. 

"We really have to put the work in this summer to keep our children and community safe," Ramirez added.

The suspects in the Miami mass shooting are still on the loose, and the motive for the heinous crime is still unknown.
