Actress-activist Alyssa Milano is "considering" a congressional run against Rep. Tom McClintock of California's 4th District in 2024.

In The Hill's "In The Know" on Tuesday, June 8, the "Charmed" actress confirmed that she's "considering" a congressional run in 2024, and she's "looking at California's 4th District to potentially run against [Rep. Tom] McClintock."

Tom McClintock is a Republican. Daily Wire reported that the actress would decide whether to run or not after the 2022 elections.

Alyssa Milano Considers Running Against Rep. Tom McClintock in California Congress

It was not the first time that Alyssa Milano sparked the news of her running in Congress. In late May, Alyssa Milano dropped hints of her consideration for the post when she asked her 3.6 million followers on Twitter if she should run against Tom McClintock.

But in Tuesday's interview, the actress gave out definitive reasons for her considerations for running as a representative of California's fourth district.

"I split my time between Truckee, California and Bell Canyon, California, and the Republicans have had a strong arm there in the fourth district," said Alyssa Milano, a progressive who supports the Biden-Harris tandem.

"The Republicans have basically had a strong arm there in the 4th District... I would love to maybe consider flipping that seat blue," she added.

The actress further noted that it is going to take someone with name recognition and deep pockets to be able to run against Tom McClintock, and "so I'm considering it."

When asked about her career as an actress, Alyssa Milano said she can't run for the post while pursuing her entertainment career.

Thus, the actress said that running for the post will "really going to be about timing." Alyssa Milano was reported to have finished shooting a Netflix movie and juggled the "Who's the Boss" reboot and several other projects.

Tom McClintock was re-elected last year in the fourth district of California with 56 percent of the vote. In the same district, former president Donald Trump beat President Joe Biden by nine points.

"I'm basically gathering information right now, speaking to different consultants, speaking to the community," the actress said.

Alyssa Milano also shared her experience as an activist, which started when she was 15 years old. She said she had "been at this for a really long time." She added that her first pictures in the White House were with Nancy Reagan.

Another Celebrity Running for California Post

Alyssa Milano is not the only one from the entertainment industry who plans to serve an office in California. Caitlyn Jenner earlier announced that she would run for governor's post as the recall elections for Governor Gavin Newsom slowly take shape.

Running alongside the GOP, Caitlyn Jenner placed a team of veteran Republican operatives such as Ryan Erwin, who worked for state-wide campaigns for years.

When asked about celebrities entering politics, Alyssa Milano said: "I would hope that anyone who's considering running for office would be doing so from a place of service which is where my heart is, rather than a place of power or to change up the system.
