Cardi B announced a new addition to her family, as the "WAP" singer revealed being pregnant with style, during her performance at the 2021 BET Awards. Cardi B surprised the crowd as she went on stage with her husband Offset, and his group Migos, according to a report from US Weekly.

The baby inside Cardi's belly will be their second child after their daughter Kulture was born. Apart from Kulture, Cardi's second baby will also be a sibling of Jordan, Kody, and Kalea, who are Offset's children from his prior relationships.

Cardi B Announces Pregnancy on BET Awards 2021

BET Awards happened at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. Harper's Bazaar reported that Cardi B appeared in the awards ceremony wearing a skin-tight embellished catsuit. The said outfit of the "WAP" singer also featured her belly bump through a cutout.

However, those who watched the BET Awards were not the only ones who witnessed Cardi B's revelation, as the singer also took to Instagram in announcing her baby number two.

The singer posted a portrait of herself looking gorgeous and sexy on her tattoos. The rapper featured her torso covered in white paint emphasizing the baby bump and an addition to their family. Cardi B captioned her photo with a heart emoji and tagged her husband Offset in the photo. US Weekly reported that Cardi B's photo on Instagram was posted moments after the "WAP" rapper took off the stage with her husband and his group.

It can also be recalled that the rapper was vocal about her "sexuality" and being a parent. Harper's Bazaar mentioned an interview with Cardi B where she expressed her thoughts on being sexy, saying that "moms who do wanna feel sexy" can feel sexy.

"I don't feel like once you become a mom, you are supposed to be this nun," said Cardi B in an interview.

It was not the first time Cardi surprised her fans with her pregnancy. It can be remembered that the rapper also announced her pregnancy with her eldest child, during a performance on Saturday Night Live in 2018.

Cardi B Bags Video of the Year on BET Awards

Apart from revealing being pregnant on BET Awards, Cardi B also bags a win from the awards ceremony as her song "WAP" won "Video of the Year." However, Cardi B did not stay to accept the honor, making her collaborator Megan Thee Stallion receive the award, according to a report from Associated Press. Stallion forgot to mention Cardi B during her speech but she made up for it when she won best female hip-hop artist.

"I really forgot to say thank you Cardi for even putting me on 'WAP' because it makes me feel so good to be acknowledged by one of my peers, who I think so highly of," said Mehan Thee Stallion.

Apart from winning video of the year, Cardi B was also nominated to different categories in BET Awards. The "WAP" rapper was nominated for best female hip hop artist, best collaboration, viewers choice award, another nomination in the video of the year for her song "UP."
