Angelique Boyer's mom, Sylvie Rousseau, 49, has died.

Earlier this month, Rousseau was admitted into the hospital, and the 25-year-old star of "Lo Que La Vida Me Robó" asked her Twitter followers to donate blood for her mother, notes TV y Novelas.

Boyer's mother suffered from heart problems, and had open-heart surgery on June 11.

At first, doctors were unable to because of a respiratory deficiency.

"I have emphysema after being a smoker," Rousseau said. "After a test, it was discovered that I have respiratory problems, and at the time of operation, it became too great a risk."

Televisa, which produces and licenses the Mexican telenovela she stars in, took to Twitter to give their condolences.

"Televisa unites in the sorrow that Angelique Boyer faces in the death of her mother, Sylvie Rousseau. Rest in peace," Televisa wrote.

Telenovela star Érika Buenfil also shared a message of support.

"Angelique, with all my heart, I'm very sorry for everything you have been going through," she said. "I sent you a lot of love and big hug. I'm very sorry."

Similarly, fans have taken to Twitter to send messages to the star.

Earlier this week, a source spoke to TV Notas about Rousseau's intensive therapy.

"She's delicate," the source said. "Her cardiac deficiency led her to a third open-heart surgery; the operation was more than five hours long and it's a very serious problem now that her heart has grown too much because of the four heart murmurs that she has. So the surgery was necessary so she could breathe better, but it also complicates the pulmonary emphysema that they found four months ago."

Boyer and her mother had a falling out previously, but the two reconciled after she broke up from Jose Alberto Castro. Boyer had been photographed taking her mother to appointments.
