Since wrapping up her self-titled OWN docu-series, it seems Lindsay Lohan has made her way to London to get more involved with the social scene on the other end of the pond.

The 27-year-old actress has familiarized herself so much with London that Mirror.co.uk along with various other the sources have reported that she is planning to stay in Europe for another year and may even purchase some European real estate to truly make herself at home.

But not to worry, LiLo fans, Lindsay isn't all play in London, she is also planning to work there too.

According to Us Weekly, Lohan is preparing to make her theatrical debut in a West End production of "Speed-the-Plow."

Lohan will reportedly be taking on the role of Karen, a role that was originated by Madonna in the 1988 Tony award nominated Broadway production.

In 2006, The Telegraph reports that the role was taken on by Alicia Silverstone who, like Lohan, had been a teen star who struggled with her career and the media spotlight, and later in 2009 "Mad Men's" Elisabeth Moss took on the role in a Broadway revival.

So it's safe to say that Lindsay Lohan has some pretty big shoes to fill.

"Speed-the-Plow" is a play written by David Mamet about Hollywood executives who dream of taking their careers to the next level and making it "big" in the film industry. In the play, the execs struggle with the importance of maintaining their artistic integrity while still striving to make money.

Lohan's soon-to-be character, Karen is a naïve secretary and failed actress to a Hollywood producer who quickly gets sucked in to the dark side of the entertainment business.

Hmm... This plot line might be all too familiar for Lindsay.

Although there is still no word on when the production will premiere or who else will be in the show, Lindsay Lohan revealed to the New York Times that she is excited to be taking on theatre for the first time.

"It's the first time I've done a stage play or anything like that. I'm nervous but I'm excited," she told the NY Times while attending the Jeremy Scott show in London.
